Just a taste of the things we did or saw.

With such long days, I got behind on posting and then just never caught back up! I'm going to miss out on a lot of details, but rest assured we had a FANTASTIC trip! All students received their BPA passports for attending and participating in multiple sessions.

In medical coding, Aiden placed in top the 40 and Will placed 21st in the nation!! Huge congratulations to these two!

Yesterday we woke up early and started exploring the city. We began with Dunkin' for breakfast and then took the subway around the city and out to the suburbs. We got to marvel at the archetecture and view the skyline from several angles.

It was such a beautiful day that we then went up to the top of the Willis Tower, which was breathtaking. Some of us jumped right out on the ledge while others had to conquer their fears. In the end, we got some great pictures of us out on the ledge, which I'll post later.

We rushed to the hotel, changed into professional casual dress and then rushed off to the convention center where Aiden and Will served as interns, helping to set up for the conference. Then dinner for the students while Maggio was trained and we met back at the hotel. Quick turnaround to our state meeting and the introduction of our state officers - Go Lexie!!!

Then we hoofed it back to the convention center for our 8 PM NLC kickoff. 2 hours later, we emerged, but instead of going to the hotel, we decided to take a quick train ride around the city at night. Exhausted, we headed to bed around 11PM.

As a note, each trip to and from the convention center is about 0.7 miles, so those steps add up fast!

We all agreed that Chicago-style pizza is amazing! We decided to walk over to Lake Michigan and see the skyline. We spent a little time in Millennium Park and then headed back to the Palmer Hotel to try their world-famous brownie. This is where brownies were created! Hopefully we'll get lots of rest tonight because we're off on another adventure tomorrow.

We made it!! We have dried off a little as we wait for our deep-dish pizza to be prepared.

Still moving. We got a little sleep in the beautiful blue car last night. Thankfully we've have had a few stops along the way where we could get out, stretch, and take a few pictures.

Today, the boys practiced a little for their coding test, Maggio did a Junior Ranger program, and we all saw some things we've never seen before. We're in the Wisonson Dells right now, so only a couple of more hours before we get to Chicago.

We are winding down for the night. We had a long day for sure, but we are loving our train adventure!

BPA members have begun selling Little Caesars pizza and cookie kits. The proceeds will help cover the costs of all the registrations and hotels we've paid for out of club funds this year. National participants can also use their sales to pay for their trip to Chicago.
