🎉 Congratulations, Tanja! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Tanja Mouat, who was named the Wyoming Adult Education Student of the Year by the Wyoming Lifelong Learning Association in Gillette on August 5!
Tanja’s journey is one of resilience, determination and lifelong learning. After coming to the U.S. from Switzerland, she returned to the classroom later in life, earning her HiSET in 2025. She then continued her education through Eastern Wyoming College, earned her substitute teaching certificate and is now pursuing her associate degree with plans to continue on to her bachelor’s degree.
Today, Tanja is putting her education into action, including being a long-term sub and teaching German (her native language) in Gillette.
Her story is a wonderful reminder that it’s never too late to pursue a new goal, start a new chapter and invest in yourself.
