TOMORROW is Run Day for our preschool classes! 🎉

Meanwhile, here's an update from APEX on today's leadership lesson. Make sure to check out the Donut Party challenge as well!

Today's superpower: Reliable. 🔒

Our students learned that being Reliable means living by a simple rule: "I do what I say I'll do, I show up when others need me, and I follow through even when it's not easy." Reliable heroes tell the truth, do their best, and stay true to what's right, not just what's popular. They prove their character through their actions, day after day.

One of our favorite lines from today's lesson: "Pressure makes diamonds." Taking on hard challenges head-on and solving problems makes you come out stronger and brighter on the other side.

Their leadership challenge today is a special one: write a note to their principal or give them a high five in the hallway and thank them for being a reliable leader at our school. 💛

New superpower unlocked: Extra Mile. 💪

Here's a video update from our APEX friend Shockwave:

Today our students learned that Super Heroes don't do the bare minimum. Going the Extra Mile means helping someone clean up even when you didn't make the mess. Giving your best effort even when you're tired. Noticing a classmate sitting alone and inviting them to join you. Heroes don't say "that's not my problem." They say "how can I help?"

The big takeaway: the extra mile is where most people stop, but it's where leaders show up.
Their leadership challenge: find one moment today to go the extra mile, at school or at home. Help someone, work harder, or do something kind that you didn't have to do. 💛

Superpower of the week: Purpose. 🎯
This week our students will learn that Purpose means knowing your "why" and letting it guide your choices. Not just going through the motions, but moving with real direction toward the things that matter to you. They will talk about how staying focused is tough when distractions are everywhere.
The lesson used Stephen Curry as an example: the NBA's all-time leading three-point scorer didn't get there overnight. He practiced thousands of shots, day after day, even when he was tired. Those small steps, repeated with real effort, built something incredible. The same is true for our students.
Their leadership challenge: do one thing today that shows the kind of person you want to become. At the end of the day, check in and ask: "Did my actions match the purpose I want to live out?" 💛

Weekend mission for our Super Hero families! 📲
Pick 5 people to share your student's pledge page with. Grandparents, coworkers, neighbors, old friends. People from anywhere in the world can pledge, and it takes just a minute.
Share directly from your student's page on myapexevent.com. Every pledge supports our school and helps raise funds for on-demand crosswalk beacons for our school.
The first three shares mean the most! Who's your first share going to? 💛

Our staff dinner was a big success yesterday! Many thanks to Jersey Mike's who provided a mountain of sandwiches and to all the parents from the 3rd and 6th grades who provided sides, desserts, and drinks. Bear Creek's hardworking teachers and staff enjoyed this delicious meal between conferences last night and we're so glad we could show them our appreciation in this way!
