D38 Home School Enrichment Academy - HSEA The Lewis-Palmer Home School Enrichment Academy (HSEA) is a program designed to support families of homeschooled students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

🧵✨ A Stitch in Time… and a Very Special Donation! ✨🧵

Our Sewing & Design classes were thrilled to receive a generous donation of new sewing machines from the wonderful Hands All Around Quilt Guild in Littleton!

Hands All Around is a quilting organization in the Denver area that generously donated some of their sewing machines to our program. This gift is especially meaningful because our students have shown such passion, creativity, and excellence in the art of sewing and quilting. 🪡❤️

These machines will give our students even more opportunities to learn, create, and continue developing their skills.

A HUGE thank you to Hands All Around Quilt Guild for supporting our students and helping us keep their creativity—and their sewing machines—going! 🧵🧶✂️

We are so grateful for organizations that invest in the passions and talents of our students! 🐾💙

Adulting 101 in Action!
Our Adulting 101 (Life Skills) class recently had the opportunity to connect with and volunteer alongside Tri-Lakes Cares! 🐾🌱
Our students learned about the many services Tri-Lakes Cares provides to our community, how they or others can utilize organizations like this in the future, and the different ways they can give back through volunteering and donations.
Of course, we didn’t just learn about making a difference — we got our hands dirty doing it! 💪🌿 Our students completed a service project by weeding the front parking lot and side yard, helping spruce up the space for this wonderful organization.
We are so proud of our students for learning what it means to be active, caring members of their community. Adulting 101 is about more than life skills — it’s about learning how to make a difference! ❤️

Our K–5 Huskies had a blast at Fall Field Day! From running and playing to laughing and making memories, our littles definitely know how to have a good time! 😄🍂

🍂 HSEA switched things up this year! 🍂

Instead of waiting until the end of the school year for Field Day, we decided to take advantage of this beautiful fall weather and have a Fall Field Day! And judging by the smiles, our students were definitely NOT upset about the change! 😄🍁

Our High School students enjoyed lunch at Arlene’s Beans followed by an Art Scavenger Hunt through downtown Monument 🎨, while our Middle School students had some fun of their own at Limbach Park! 🌳

A little sunshine, a lot of fun, and plenty of memories made. ❤️

HSEA K–5 had the pleasure of welcoming the El Paso-Teller County 9-1-1 Authority to our school for an awesome and educational presentation!

Our students learned more about 9-1-1, what happens when they make a call, and the importance of knowing how to get help when they need it. Our 3rd–5th grade students also had the extra-special opportunity to step inside their mobile classroom and experience some hands-on learning! 🚑📚

A huge THANK YOU to the El Paso-Teller County 9-1-1 Authority for taking the time to educate and engage our students. We are so grateful for the work you do in our community and for helping our students learn these important skills! 💙🐾
