Angela Liu, a 2026 MVA graduate, was named the winner of Rep. Daniel Webster's 2025 Congressional App Challenge in Florida's 11th District. Angela's app is a Google Chrome extension designed to simplify the Common Application process.
"With the current Common App, inputting data and writing college essays can be stressful and mind-numbing," said Angela. "Using a clear tool to organize information and data, and provide insights into your application, saves me and fellow underclassmen time."
Congratulations, Angela, on this outstanding achievement!

๐ฅThrowback to when Mrs. Kuhnโs fourth graders wrapped up the school year in the most spud-tacular way with their very own Potato Olympics ๐ฅ๐ฅ!
โญ๏ธEach student transformed a potato into an Olympic athlete, complete with creative decorations, unique biographies, and national pride as their potato competitors represented countries from around the world, including Italy, France, Puerto Rico, and more!
The excitement continued with Olympic-style events like penny weightlifting, rowing, gymnastics, and relay races, where potato athletes earned points and students cheered them on every step of the way. The celebration ended with a festive closing ceremony and handmade medals to honor their achievements.
๐คฉ A hilarious, imaginative, and engaging way to celebrate the end of the school year while bringing together concepts learned throughout the year. Potato Olympics are a tradition these students wonโt soon forget!

Spring Break, but make it global! ๐
Montverde Academy students took learning outside the classroom this year, traveling through Spain ๐ช๐ธ and England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ for an experience to remember. From exploring the Royal Palace and Prado Museum in Madrid to experiencing the beauty of Sevilla, and even visiting the iconic home of Real Madrid, students embraced every moment of culture, history, and adventure.
The journey continued in London ๐ฌ๐ง, where students walked through history at the Tower of London, British Museum, and landmarks like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, bringing their classroom learning to life in unforgettable ways.
Experiences like this build confidence, independence, and a global perspective that lasts a lifetime.
Next up: Italy ๐ฎ๐น for Spring Break 2027! Interested? Contact Robert.Burke@montverde.
