Am-Tree celebrates the 2026 Week of the Young Child (WOYC) April 13–17! This event celebrates 100 years of progress in early childhood education. This special week highlights the importance of play, creativity, and collaboration through engaging daily activities. The 2026 theme honors a century of service, recognizing the dedication of those who support young children while inspiring a bright future for education.
Am-Tree’s activities include:
• Musical Monday Sing-Along Story Time – Through singing, dancing, and reading, we celebrate the important role music plays in early learning, while supporting language development, motor skills, and emotional expression.
• Teamwork Tuesday– As we prepare to welcome Earth Day, April 22nd, children showed that through teamwork and shared effort, we can all help make the world a more beautiful place
• World of Food Exploring Wednesday – Children were encouraged to cook and enjoy healthy, nutritious foods while building math, literacy, and science skills.
• Artsy Thursday – Kindness rock painting and a classroom color parade.
• Friendship Friday Fruit Salad – Serving as a symbol of unity, the different fruits show how each person’s unique contribution helps create something wonderful, much like a community of learners working together to make the classroom a more positive and supportive place.
