Dear GearUp Class of 2020,
We received word this morning that many of you have not filled out the parts 1and 2 for the GEAR UP scholarship. The deadline for scholarship money for the first term is Friday, October 30, 2020.
If you are currently in school, please fill out the forms and include a copy of your college acceptance letter or class schedule and a copy of your financial aid award letter. It is imperative that these items are included.
If you are not going to use the $5,000 scholarship, let us know immediately.
If you are going to delay using the scholarship, let us know the approximate date that you are going to use the scholarship.
If you have changed your email address, send us your most current contact information.
Let us know what you are doing if you are not in school, i.e. work, military, other.
I am attaching a tip sheet for filling out the paperwork. All forms are on www.schev.edu/guveprform. If you plan to enroll for Fall 2021 or later, you will need to visit the website in January 2021 to access it. You will receive a reminder email at that time. (That is why it is important to keep us aware of how to reach you and what you are doing.)
