It is our goal to provide an atmosphere of Christ-like love where your child feels wanted and cared for and can learn of God’s love for him/her. We strive to provide opportunities for the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development of our students every day. This includes ideas and things to talk about, relate to, compare with, match, fit into, try out, reinforce, invent, discover and

enjoy. No complicated, abstract meanings will be introduced that the child cannot understand. Play is an important and fun teaching tool! TO OUR PARENTS:
We want you to know, understand and discuss our goals with us. We invite you to look often into our busy, happy, noisy, creative, classrooms and observe your child at play. We welcome you to see how important play is to your child’s learning. Most importantly, as parents and teachers, we can all help your child develop his/her full potential. We are a team!

🍎We know many kids are having their first day of school this week. And we are looking forward to that day with our preschoolers in September!! Know that today our teachers are starting all of their back to school to do lists.

We are thankful for this time of meetings, training, orientation, and prep. It’s a fun season to watch the school come alive after a long a quiet summer. We promise you, we are counting down the days till our little ones are here with us for the new year!! 🫶🏻

Friends, please help us wish Ms. Zoie a very happy birthday 🥳🥳

Ms. Zoie has taught at Sonshine Patch Preschool for a year and is dedicated to the love and care of our children. She says she is excited to teach here and has worked with young children since she was 13 years old.

In her free time, Ms. Zoie loves being outside hiking, swimming, fishing, going on walks, rock crawling, paddle boarding, and spending time with family and friends.

Friends, please help us wish Ms. Sheila a very happy birthday!! 🥳🥳

Ms. Sheila has taught at Sonshine Patch Preschool since 2003. Over the years she has also taught Sunday School and substituted at a preschool in Delta. Ms. Sheila has her teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education from Mesa State in Grand Junction.

She says, "I just love children and always wanted to be a teacher since I was little. It’s such a blessing to be able to teach the love of Jesus at SPP. It is exciting to watch them developmentally grow throughout the school year"!

Together with her husband, Ms. Sheila has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

Ms. Sheila, we love you so much and are so happy you are in our Sonshine Family!! 💛💛

💐 Happy May Day!!

Children, parents, grandparents, siblings of all ages, and teachers enjoyed a special time of welcoming spring with a Maypole and May Day treat baskets.

🙏🏻 Thank you to our amazing PAC (Parent Action Committee) for planning, organizing, and running this sweet event! And a very special thank you to Ms. Kandi and Mr. Dan for providing live music to dance and twirl to!! 🎶

We love being able to provide our preschoolers with rich and unique experiences. And this is a new one that will be brought back year after year. 💛🌱🍎

Friends, please help us wish Ms. Emma a very happy birthday!! 🎉🎉

Ms. Emma has worked in education for 10 years. While living in Texas, she served in a church nursery and as an infant teacher at another school. Ms. Emma has been at Sonshine Patch for 3 years and says, “My love for children has never dimmed and each year it continues to grow and grow.”
�In her spare time you can find Ms. Emma swimming, shopping, and tanning in the sun with her husband and two children.
