Our preschool curriculum is play based because play is the most appropriate mode for a young child's learning. Our experienced and highly qualified teachers enable each child to reach his or her highest potential by supporting children wherever they are on their own learning path and timeline. Our low child-to-teacher ratios and small class sizes enable our teachers to:

✨ Day 2 of School! ✨

We had another wonderful day of learning, playing, and getting to know one another! ❤️

Today we practiced our classroom rules, learned our new friends’ names, and talked about what it means to be a good friend—being kind, sharing, helping, and taking turns.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and fun as we continued settling into our classroom routines. We are so excited for all the learning, friendships, adventures, and special memories still to come this school year! 🍎📚🖍️

Dear ABCLC Families and Friends,

🍎 Welcome to September at Angel Beginnings Christian Learning Center! 🍎

We are so excited to begin another year of learning, growing, playing, and making wonderful memories together!

September is a month of new beginnings. Our children will be getting to know their teachers and friends, learning classroom routines, practicing how we care for one another, and discovering all the fun that preschool has to offer.

🌟 This Month We Are Focusing On:

• Getting comfortable with our classroom routines
• Learning and remembering our friends’ names
• Sharing, taking turns, and being kind
• Recognizing and expressing our feelings
• Exploring letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and our names
• Lots of stories, songs, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
• Enjoying the beginning of the fall season 🍂

❤️ A Note From Us

The first few weeks of preschool can bring lots of different emotions—for children and parents! Some children jump right in, while others need a little extra time to feel comfortable. We will be here to offer encouragement, patience, love, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence.

Our goal is not only to help children learn, but to help them love learning. We are looking forward to watching each child grow in confidence, independence, friendships, and new skills throughout the year.

How we support your child at ABCLC, INC- we do it in many ways:

In the classroom we provide meaningful opportunities for children to learn through:
- PLAY - imaginative and cooperative play
-MOVEMENT- coordination, balance, and active listening
-BOOKS & STORIES - language, listening, and comprehension
-CONVERSATION - vocabulary and communication
- ART- creativity and self expression
- HANDS ON LEARNING -curiosity and problem solving

The Pre-K year is an exciting time of growth and discovery. Children ages 4-5 are becoming more independent, building friendships, developing confidence, and preparing for their next educational journey. Our program focuses on the whole child- supporting social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language, creative, and artistic development.

At ABCLC, through play based learning, we help young learners reach their potential through creativity and art.

Creative experiences allow children to use their imagination, express themselves, and strengthen important skills.

Through pretend play, young learners may:
-create imaginary situations
-assign or accept roles
-act out characters
-use props
-pretend with imaginary objects

Through art, children practice:
- controlled scribbling and mark-making
-creating basic shapes
-combining shapes and lines
-drawing people, animals, trees, flowers, and other familiar subjects
-creating pictures and scenes from objects and ideas.

As we approach the beginning of the new school year- 1 week away!! ABCLC works with your child in approaching their developing language milestones. We know both as parents and educators that language grows everyday through conversations, books, songs, questions, and classroom experiences.

With us children practice:

-saying their first and last name
-following two-step directions
-describing objects and actions
-using connecting words to express ideas
-using possessive words
-speaking in longer sentences
-repeating short strings of numbers
- naming animals and familiar objects
- learning and showing interest in new words
- talking about pictures and stories

At ABCLC, we take the time to work with your child and you with all areas and we notice that an extra support or boost is needed we will come to you quietly and talk to you about that support. Our goal is be supportive and help your child be successful and love learning as much as we do!

**Developmental milestones are guidelines and not a pass or fail test. Every child reaches their milestones at different times and we celebrate each one!!**

At ABCLC we make learning fun! We want our students to look forward to coming to school everyday and for the rest of their lives.
As parents and educators we know that PreK children are curious problem-solvers and thinkers. Through hands on learning, we explore early math, shapes, memory, colors, puzzles, and logical thinking.

Children may:
-count to 10 from memory
-count small groups of objects
-recognize colors and shapes
-understand simple opposites
-match objects by their use
-complete age-appropriate puzzles
-remember information
-draw simple people
-extend sentences and ideas logically.

And for our last introduction! We have our amazing Program Director and Teacher for the Grasshopper and Fireflies, Ms. Chris! (She didn’t want anything posted but I insisted) Mrs. Gregory 💖

Family, faith, and my love for children are at the heart of who I am. I am blessed to be a wife, a mother of three wonderful children, and a proud grandmother to one beautiful granddaughter. I have been married for 30 years, and my family continues to be one of my greatest joys and blessings.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of working in some form of education. For the past 10 years, I have been part of the Angel Beginnings Christian Learning Center (ABCLC) family. Working with young children has always held a special place in my heart. I love watching children learn, grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of learning. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child master something they once found challenging and watching their excitement and pride as they realize what they can accomplish.

I believe that learning should be filled with love, encouragement, patience, and fun. The early years of a child's life are so important, and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to play a small part in helping children build a strong foundation for their future.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and working on puzzles. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones spent together with the people I love.

My faith is also a very important part of my life. I am grateful for God's love, guidance, and blessings each and every day. My faith has carried me through difficult times and helped shape the person I am today. Without my faith and my love for God, I honestly don't know where I would be.

I feel truly blessed by the life God has given me, the family He has surrounded me with, and the opportunity to spend my days doing something I love—helping young children learn, grow, and discover the wonderful world around them.
