At ABCLC we make learning fun! We want our students to look forward to coming to school everyday and for the rest of their lives.
As parents and educators we know that PreK children are curious problem-solvers and thinkers. Through hands on learning, we explore early math, shapes, memory, colors, puzzles, and logical thinking.

Children may:
-count to 10 from memory
-count small groups of objects
-recognize colors and shapes
-understand simple opposites
-match objects by their use
-complete age-appropriate puzzles
-remember information
-draw simple people
-extend sentences and ideas logically.

And for our last introduction! We have our amazing Program Director and Teacher for the Grasshopper and Fireflies, Ms. Chris! (She didn’t want anything posted but I insisted) Mrs. Gregory 💖

Family, faith, and my love for children are at the heart of who I am. I am blessed to be a wife, a mother of three wonderful children, and a proud grandmother to one beautiful granddaughter. I have been married for 30 years, and my family continues to be one of my greatest joys and blessings.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of working in some form of education. For the past 10 years, I have been part of the Angel Beginnings Christian Learning Center (ABCLC) family. Working with young children has always held a special place in my heart. I love watching children learn, grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of learning. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child master something they once found challenging and watching their excitement and pride as they realize what they can accomplish.

I believe that learning should be filled with love, encouragement, patience, and fun. The early years of a child's life are so important, and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to play a small part in helping children build a strong foundation for their future.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and working on puzzles. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones spent together with the people I love.

My faith is also a very important part of my life. I am grateful for God's love, guidance, and blessings each and every day. My faith has carried me through difficult times and helped shape the person I am today. Without my faith and my love for God, I honestly don't know where I would be.

I feel truly blessed by the life God has given me, the family He has surrounded me with, and the opportunity to spend my days doing something I love—helping young children learn, grow, and discover the wonderful world around them.

As your child grows, day by day, at ABCLC we help them understand their feelings, communicate their needs, and develop positive relationships with others.

Children are learning to:

- identify and express a wider range of emotions
-respond to the needs of others
-show kindness and affection
-comfort friends
- understand fairness
- manage everyday challenges with growing independence
-participate positively in group experiences

We strive to achieve these developing emotional milestones through play based instructions and modeling.

ABCLC is so happy to have Isabella Gregory as a teacher's assistant in our PreK classroom and working along side Mrs. Gregory. Together they make a fabulous team!

Hi, my name is Isabella Gregory but my students can call me Mrs.Bella. I’m one of the teachers in the Ladybugs/Dragonfly class room. I've always had a big heart for helping others; when I was a teenager and even now when I babysit kids.
Being able to work at Angel Beginnings is dream come true. To be able to help teach young kids to learn and watch them grow is one of the best things.
When I’m home, I like to spend my time with my husband and daughter. I can’t forget about my pets too!
My main goal this year is to make sure all of the classroom needs are met and that they know I'm there for them when they need me. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Today we are taking a look at another outstanding teacher in our little community- Ms. Daryan!
Ms. Daryan is a teachers assistant in the Grasshoppers (2-3 year olds) and Fireflies (3-4 year olds).
Hello! I'm Daryan VanNostrand, and I'm excited to be returning for my second year as a Teacher Assistant at our school. I am 30 years old, a proud mom of three, and the wife of a local firefighter.
Working with children ages 2–4 is something I truly enjoy. I love helping little learners build confidence, discover new things, and grow through play, exploration, and everyday experiences. My goal is to help each child feel safe, loved, and excited to come to school each day.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, caring for our small hobby farm, gardening, and photography.
I look forward to another wonderful year and can't wait to get to know all of our new and returning families!

Another way we at ABCLC helps your child meet their developmental milestones while focusing on the whole child- supporting social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language, creative, and artistic development is by helping your child with their small fine motor development.

Fine motor development activities help children prepare for writing, cutting, drawing, dressing, and many other everyday tasks.

At ABCLC, we "practice" this by doing many fun, engaging, activities all while using play.

Some of the "practice" may be:
- drawing pictures
- copying basic shapes such as squares
- cutting along lines and simple outlines
- holding paper while drawing or writing
- lacing boards
- strengthening hand control and coordination.

Here is a look at one of our amazing PreK teachers Mrs. Gregory.

Hi everyone! I’m Megan Gregory, and I’m so excited to be starting my second year at Angel Beginnings!! I graduated from Keystone College with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies, where I was recently accepted back into the Pennsylvania Teacher Certification program as I continue working toward becoming a certified teacher. I’ve always had a passion for working with young children, and there is nothing better than watching them learn, grow, and gain confidence throughout the year.

When I’m not at school, I’m usually spending time with my husband and our three kids and animals. You’ll almost always find me with a cup of coffee or a cold Dr. Pepper in my hand! I love creating a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, and excited to come learn each day. I can’t wait to get to know all of your wonderful families and make this an amazing year together!
