It feels like Phase 732 . . . The new backstop pads are up! It changes the entire look of the field.

Thanks to Jason and Janna Wareham for getting our flagpole up! We are looking so good at the MHS Lady 'Jays field!

Here is the bracket for the Humansville tournament on Aug. 28 & 29. Also included is a photo of the tournament shirt. They are $20 each and may be purchased during the tournament while supplies last.

Thanks to Manny Dion and Pitbull Powersports for helping us out with a SxS for the season. It doesn't take nearly as long to get the field dragged!

The work continues on and off the field! The girls are working hard to be ready for the Jamboree at Clinton on Monday evening; others are working just to help us out! We are grateful for everyone that continues to help us get the field ready.

Just a reminder: with the extreme heat we are experiencing, it is imperative that the girls are staying hydrated. Please be sure the girls are drinking water throughout the day. Also, please be sure they are bringing water to drink to practice.

Through a grant, the MFA Oil Foundation Grant, and the Montrose Booster Club, we were able to purchase a new scoreboard. Thanks to Gary and Dennis, it went up today!

Phase 7 is complete!!

We spread turf dry on the field as the final phase. Chelby Fischer helped get the field ready before practice by dragging the field. We still have more turf dry to apply, but that won't be completed until later in our season.

Special thanks to Coach Alicia Wollard, Gary Klass, Jerry Mitchel, Joe Harris, Janna Wareham, Delores Bracher, Amy Wagner, and Carey Drehle for helping us get this project completed.

*All field renovations that have been completed have been done through our fundraising efforts this summer. We appreciate our communities and your support of the Montrose Lady 'Jays Softball program.

Fifteen young women were at the opening day of the fall 2026 softball season!

After running drills, conditioning, and doing some hitting, the girls helped distribute turf dry at the five major points of the field. Phase 7, the final phase, is almost complete.
