The primary objective of the Exercise Science program at Montreat College is to provide academically rigorous training that prepares students for careers in Exercise Science careers while fostering the development of Christ-centered Exercise Science Students. OUR PROGRAM
Our programs of study in biology and exercise science help students build a solid base of knowledge in physical and life science

s through scripturally-consistent curricula that provides them with the comprehension, skills, and proficiencies needed to be successful and competitive in their future endeavors. The exercise science major offers a scientifically–based curriculum that prepares students with a foundation for entry level careers in healthcare or related fitness industries, successful completion of national certifications, and/or the pursuit of advanced and professional degrees in related fields of study.

Check this out! Our very own Hunter Smathers led a study through to peer reviewed publication. He may have had to pivot mid-study due to Hurricane Helene and turn this project into a close look at physical activity patterns and mental health in the midst of a natural disaster, but it gave us some interesting insights.
