MMS Closure Notice – February 23rd

MMS will be closed today, February 23rd, due to freezing temperatures and snow-covered roads. The safety of our staff and families is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Update: We will closed today.

2 HR Delay

MMS will operate under a 2-hour delay today, February 5th. With many roads in the Black Mountain, Montreat, and Swannanoa areas having a light layer of snow, we feel this delay will allow everyone extra time to travel safely.

Please note an earlier time change for morning carline.
Morning carline will run from 10:00–10:15 AM. If parents prefer to walk their child in, they may do so beginning at 10:20 AM.

MMS will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3rd. Unfortunately, many secondary roads remain snow-covered, and there are several slick areas in our carline that make travel unsafe.

Closure Update:

MMS will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 2nd. We are hopeful that another day of sunshine will help clear some of the snow from the untreated roads.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we hope you and your family were able to enjoy some special time together in the snow. Stay safe and warm!

Closure Update:
Unfortunately, Montreat Morning School will be closed today, January 27th. After driving in this morning, we found that several roads are still icy, with some new icy spots that weren’t present yesterday. For everyone’s safety, we do not feel it is best to open today.

We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We will plan to try again tomorrow.

MMS will operate under a 2-hour delay tomorrow, January 27. This will allow our staff and families extra time to arrive safely and will give us another opportunity to evaluate road conditions. Our carline will run from 10:15am-10:30am. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize everyone’s safety.

MMS will be closed today, 12/11.
With temperatures staying below freezing during our school hours, we want to ensure the safety of our families and students. We will also use this day to reset and rest up before our big day tomorrow for our Christmas concert, especially as sickness has been moving through the school.
