Hello 81ers. If you do not know as of this post classmate and good friend Chris Fabian is in hospice care at his home in Maine battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Prayers to Chris and his daughter, brother's, sister Julie and their entire families. Fabian strong forever

Hello 81er's. I am resending this again from this am. In today's times argus is the info for Tood Fields gravesite service. It will be on 06/05 at the Middlesex center cemetery on center road in Middlesex, vt
The time is for 1:30
Take exit 9 off of I 89 and that is Center road. The Cemetery is about 2-3 miles from I 89. Test in peace Todd

Hello MHS Class of 1981 "81er's". It is with great sadness that I write this post to inform you (for those of you that did not know) that we lost a classmate on Monday the 11th. Todd Field past away after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 55. At this time there is no services. At a later date the family will be having a graveside service. When I know of this information I will repost on this page. Todd's obit can be in the Caledonia record and the times argus. Ours thoughts and prayers are with Todd's Mom Sandy and his entire family. Rest in peace Todd.

Well hello again to the best class that ever came out of MHS. That would be the class of 1981. A quick update from yesterday. also attending our 35th reunion will be Steve (the voice of the VT mountaineers) Gilman and Keith Demingware.

I also received a letter from Mr. Clayton thanking our class for the invite but will not be able to attend.

I will update this page again tomorrow if I receive anymore responses in the mail before Lisa and I head out of town.

I will again update this page on Monday after talking to the organizers of our 35th reunion. Have a SAFE and GREAT time.

Hello again 81er's. 3 more days until our 35th reunion. I have no more new responses since my last post this past Sunday. I had a voice mail from Jim (Coach) Michaelson. He said " thank you for the invite for himself and Stephanie, but do to a prior commitment they will not be able to attend dinner on Saturday. (I'm thinking (which is scary) that the Michaelson's were our guests at our 20th reunion?) They both wished all of us their best and to have a great time.

I also had "chat" with Mr. Naess the other day. He and his Wife "will take a rain check" until our next reunion. They have unexpected family reunion this weekend. They will get to see their grandson for the first time in the past 2 years. He said thank you for the invite and as well wished all of us his best and to have a great time.

I want to personal thank Darcy, Joe, Gary, and Steve for organizing our 35th reunion. In layman's terms, without the 4 of them this weekend would not be happening.

From Lisa and I, have a great and safe time and have a beer/drink or 2/3/4 for us and we will see you at the 40th (if not and hopefully sooner) reunion.

As I wrote on Sunday, It is not to late to respond. If you plan on attending please get a hold of Darcy, Gary 522-6609, Joe 338-5824, Steve 272-5343, or myself 522-6019.

Hello again MHS class of 1981. Well here we are. Less than a week away from our 35th reunion. First things first. All of your checks that you have sent to me have been put in the bank and are no longer outstanding.

I spoke to Gary last Thursday. If you are planning to attend the dinner venue at the Capital Plaza and plan on paying at the door, PLEASE LET us/him know asap. The same goes with checks being mailed to me. We need a total head count by Wednesday the 10th. Any ? with this like I wrote PLEASE let any of us know.

So since my last post we have had some confirmed responses. Here is the list of confirmed classmates/spouses who are attending. Libby (Walker) Davidson, Darcy (Blow) and Chuck Cacicio, Patty (Krahn) and Ken Walbridge, Gary Molander, Joe Hayes, Bethany and Steve Lyons, Tracy and Rich Bashara, Allyson Coburn, Vanessa and Bernie Leno, Kathy (Drew) and David Warren, Lisa Hickory, Cindy (Jones) Wedding, Kathy (Ripley) Walbridge, Dorreen and Bruce Haley, and Patty (Flood) and Jack Howard. Let us all not forget the generous donation of $220.00 that Patty and Jack gave to our class. THANK YOU again.

Also attending as our guests will be Mrs. and Mr. John Naess.

So get those checks to me made out to the "MHS Class Of 1981, 5 Pleasant Street, Montpelier if you are attending. More updates to (hopefully daily) up to next Friday. Rick

Hello 81er's. A Quick update of some responses that have trickled in to me. Doreen and Bruuuuuuuuuuce Haley, Cindy (Jones) Wedding, and Kathy (Ripley) Walbridge. Will be attending our 35th reunion. I also forgot to mentioned on my last post again that Mrs and Mr. John Naess will be attending as our guest's.

Joe to answer ?. As of this post I have a total of only 16 paid responses.

So again, please get those confirmations/responses back to me, or Gary, Darcy, Joe, or Steve asap whether it is ya or nay. Because, again it is my understanding that we to have a certain number of attendees to have our reunion at the Plaza.

I did get a voice mail from Monica Percy Edgar. Regretfully she will not be able to attend. But gives her best wishes to all of us and our families from the MHS class of 1981.

Hello again MHS 81er's. Well we are the rolling Solons now. In the past couple of days we/I have received more responses of classmates and spouses that will be attending our 35th reunion on 08/13/16. Here are those/all classmates/spouses that will be attending to date. Bethany and Steve Lyons, Tracy and Rich Bashara, Allyson Coburn, Vanessa and Bernie Leno, Kathy (Drew) and David Warren, Lisa Hickory, Patty (Flood) and Jack Howard. (more on Patty and Jack a bit later).

I received a letter from Paul Magnan with a short note. "He unfortunately will be out of town that weekend and won't be able to attend". "It sounds like a great time". "Please pass along my best wishes to everyone". Thank You Paul.

Regretfully the same goes for Lisa and I due to a previous commitment.

Now getting back to Patty (Flood) and Jack Howard. There was a post it note on their check that I received which read, " A little extra to defray costs". "My husband Jack and I will be attending". Well that "little extra" was for the amount $220.00.!!!!!!!!!!

Now I know that I am writing/thinking/saying for the 4 organizers of our 35th reunion (Darcy, Gary, Joe and Steve) when I write a
HUGE and SINCERE THANK YOU TO THE BOTH OF YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY. WOW!!!!!!! Thank You both again.

Hello again to the BEST CLASS that ever came out of Montpelier High School!!!!! Alright!!!!! As of tomorrow we are thirty,30,30 days away from our 35th reunion. That's less than a month!

Darcy, Joe, Gary, Steve have put A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT into the fact that we will be having our 35th reunion. Again a HUGE thank you to the 4 of them. With that being written, lets get those responses back in to me (address is posted below) of who will be attending.

I was told by Gary that former WSKI (he may still work there for all I know) DJ Jim Severance will be providing our Music pleasure through out our stay at the Plaza on August 13th.

As of today, I have heard back from only 3 classmates. I am under the understanding that we have a minimum number of needed attendees in order to have our 35 reunion at the Capital Plaza.

Classmates/spouses attending our 35th as of today are Bethany and Steve Lyons, Tracy and Rich Bashara, and Allyson Coburn. I also had the pleasure of having a talk with Mr. John Naess. He and his wife will be attending as our guests.

Gary. Will you please post the classmates that you could not reach on FB to this page.

So keep spreading the word about our 35th reunion, to classmates and teachers and get those responses back to me as soon as you can.

Don't forget as Darcy posted earlier that there will a "get together" at McGillicudys next Monday the 18th @ 6 pm to discuss more about our reunion (and have a drink or 2). Hope to see as many of us/you there. Take care and more updates to follow. Rick/Turk
