Pierre Bensusan Coming to Montpelier May 7!

Event: May 7, 2017, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The fabulous French/Algerian guitarist/singer, PIERRE BENSUSAN, has added a Montpelier performance to his 'world tour 2017'. He is booked into the Unitarian Church at 130, Main Street, Montpelier, VT on Sunday, May 7th at 7 p.m..He will also be at the Ho**er Durham Theater in Brattlebro on the following night at 8pm on May 8th./2017. These are but two of Pierre's venues out of 23 in North America.

Turning 60 this year , Pierre Bensusan was born in French Algeria to a Sephardic Jewish family who then moved to Paris when Pierre was four. A brilliant guitarist, singer and often s**t singing performer, he produced his first recording 'Pres de Paris' at the early age of 17. He has since recorded at least 12 recordings, become an award winning performer and (this April) Juror at the European Guitar Awards in Dresden. He records on his own unique label DADGAD, the tuning he has perfected and published in several music/tablature books.

This performance is a MUST for all acoustic guitar players. If youvare not familiar with Pierre Bensusan's music check him out on YouTube. https://youtu.be/nA3lFuQyFnk. His website is www.pierrebensusan.com.

Warning from someone who tried to buy a ticket:

"In trying to book my ticket I ran into some issues , about which you should be aware. I had a great chat this morning with Pierre's longtime friend and assistant in the USA ( Leslie and her French husband became close friends with Pierre when they met him in France in 1978) and appraised her of the issues which were these:

1. I had trouble getting the sale through and, even though I received confirmation information at the time I was successful I never got a confirming email. Checking with my bank I found that the funds were held by thevagent for confirmation for 10 days.

2. Tickets are listed on Pierre's website at $18 advance / $20 door plus $15 senior. The agency handling the sales, based in England, asks for prices in Euros and does not offer senior rates. Leslie is checking these issues out and,if I hear anything it will be posted here."

Posters are on the way and should appear closer to the May 7th date.
