Bounce Back Project

Bounce Back Project Bounce Back Project offers programs, tools and exercises to help people increase their happiness Some people just seem to be able to handle more than others.

CentraCare – Monticello has partnered with several organizations throughout our community to provide you with a variety of different tools and programs that will help you build and strengthen your own resilience. We all know what it's like to be overwhelmed and have too much on our plates. It's easy to become discouraged and feel the weight of everything and not know how to respond in a healthy wa

y. Resilience is our ability to bounce back from the stresses of life. It's not about avoiding or denying stress, but rather, building good coping skills that we can use to deal with stressful situations. We used to believe that resilience is something that you were born with. While part of that is true, new research tells us that resilience is actually a skill - not just a personality trait - and it can be learned. Resiliency is made up of 5 Pillars:
- Self-Awareness
- Mindfulness
- Self-Care
- Positive Relationships
- Purpose

By strengthening these pillars, we in turn, become more resilient. Instead of experiencing a downwards spiral when we encounter stress in our lives, these five pillars work together to lift us up out of the chaos we are feeling. Obtaining and maintaining these skills, takes practice. We hope, by choosing to take part in the various Bounce Back Project programs offered by Buffalo Hospital, you will not only build your own resilience - but be healthier AND happier.

Confidence starts with believing in yourself. When you trust your abilities and stay true to your values, you build resilience that helps you navigate life's challenges with strength and hope.

Pair confidence with adaptability, and you'll be better equipped to handle change, learn from setbacks, and move forward with a positive mindset.

✨ Remember: • Focus on progress, not perfection
• Use positive self-talk
• Lean on supportive connections
• Embrace change as an opportunity to grow

Confidence and adaptability help us bounce back stronger.

Summer can be full of sunshine, adventures, and social plans — but it’s also okay if your season looks slower, quieter, or more restful.

💛 Take time to:
• Sit in the shade and breathe deeply
• Savor your favorite summer treat
• Say “no” when you need space
• Watch the sunset without rushing

Your mental health matters as much as your to-do list. This summer, let’s choose balance over burnout. 🌸

✨ Comment below: What’s one small thing you’re doing for your mental well-being this week?

It can be as simple as reflecting on a nutritious meal, a moment of connection, or time taken to pause and breathe. Caring for yourself in small ways adds up.

Positive affirmations can help rewire the way we think.

The words we repeat to ourselves shape our mindset, actions, and confidence. When we practice supportive self-talk, we strengthen positive thought patterns and encourage growth.

Today, take a moment to create an affirmation that reminds you of your strength, value, and potential.

Building social connection doesn’t have to be complicated or time‑consuming.

It’s often the simple things that matter most, like:
- Catching up over coffee or a short walk
- Sharing a laugh or a small moment
- Pausing to fully listen and be present

These small, everyday connections help strengthen resilience by giving us support, perspective, and a sense of belonging during difficult days.
