How do we keep elementary students busy during the first hour of afterschool and focus on academics? We work on sight words, math facts, multiplication flash cards, and perhaps logic puzzles.

21st Century afterschool programming got underway today. Student enjoyed sessions with STEM, building, board games, Minecraft, and Dungeons and Dragons.

As our summer camp has came to an end, I would like to acknowledge those that have made it such a success. First, thank you to our parents/guardians for entrusting us with your children! Next, thank you to my staff for all you have done. Camp would not be what it is if not for you. It doesn’t matter what crazy idea I came up with this group was always willing to make it work. Ideas like doing a flash mob during breakfast, giving middle school free reign on creating their own cupcakes, being free standing targets with water balloons, hours on school buses, or hiking over 3 miles with 157 stair steps climb just to name a few. They gave up four weeks of their summer to do this and so much more for the students. We hope everyone has a good remainder of summer and we look forward to seeing them back in August.

Our elementary students had a great last day on a field trip to Kentucky Down Under. Our students enjoyed exploring the cave, feeding the animals and mining for some gems.
