On May 11, 2026, Students from Mr. Derrick Pylesโ€™ and Mr. Justin Hortonโ€™s agriculture classes visited Burnett farms, Hailโ€™s farm, Hail Farm store and Bosch Berries.
They got to view farm vendors and see behind the scenes of how itโ€™s grown to give them an insight of how hard our community farmers work for us. They were also given the opportunity to experience a glimpse of inside of a 30 acre greenhouse with a guided tour.
These students from agricultural classes in Wayne County got first hand accounts of many different types of farming ranging from berry big hydroponics in greenhouses to traditional farming in the fields. This group of freshman had a berry fun day. Thanks to the kindness and cooperation from these farms and companies!

On Thursday, May 7th, our chapter hosted its annual FFA Banquet! We kicked off the evening by sharing a delicious meal together. A huge thank you to the Wayne County FFA Alumni for sponsoring the meat, Selena Horton and Kellie Pyles for preparing the sides, and all of the parents who brought desserts for everyone to enjoy!

A special thank you to Avery Fierros and Take Two Photography for capturing the night and photographing the banquet so beautifully, we appreciate you helping us preserve these memories!

Following the meal, we moved into the auditorium for the awards ceremony. Congratulations to everyone who earned a certificate or plaque this year! Your hard work, dedication, and effort throughout the year have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished. Thank you to everyone who helped make this yearโ€™s banquet so special!
