Our staff is committed to helping every student to grow, learn and excel. At Monticello, we provide expanded course offerings, co-curricular programs and access to technology rarely seen in small schools. We believe this is a winning combination that encourages students to discover their strengths and reach their full potential. 🍎New Staff Spotlight: Mr. Soderberg 🔬

🤗Please help us welcome Mr. Will Soderberg, our new middle school science teacher! This is his fourth year in education after spending the past three years teaching and coaching in Albany.

👉A graduate of Loras College and Edgewood University, Mr. Soderberg enjoys playing and coaching sports, spending time outdoors, and learning about World War II. We are excited to have him join our amazing team and begin a great year with our middle school students!

Please consider donating to the Pony Craft Pack Project by purchasing items from the Amazon Wish List. Each month students who receive a weekend Pony Pack also receive a craft kit created by one of our high school students. The kits include step-by-step directions & supplies that allow the student to create a fun item. The Pony Craft Pack Project was created by a high school student last year & they would like to continue throughout this school year, but would greatly appreciate some financial support, as they have been purchasing the supplies out of their own pocket. 🎤 Great turnout today as staff from across our JAMB schools — Juda, Albany, Monticello, and Blackhawk — came together for a collaborative keynote to kick off the year. For years, our rural schools have worked to do more together than any of us could alone, and today was another great example of that in action. Similar demographics, similar challenges, shared solutions — that's what makes this partnership work. Proud of our staffs for showing up ready to learn and connect! 🍎

🐎Pony Round Up Day is next Monday!

🗓️When? Monday, August 31st
❓What? Let's get a head start to kick off an awesome school year!

🚍Buses will run usual AM and PM routes
🍽️Cafeteria will serve breakfast and lunch

🏊‍♂️Elementary grades 5K-5th! Bring swim clothes and a towel! 5K and 1st grade will be visiting Monroe's splash pad and grades 2-5 will be headed to the Monticello Pool in the afternoon.

🪢Middle school students! Are headed to the ropes course at Bethel Horizons in Dodgeville! Families ~ Please check your email for some forms that will need to be filled out for your student to participate!!

As the high School athletes are about to begin the 2026/2027 sports seasons, our Monticello Sports Boosters Club is looking forward to the school year and hoping to continue growing our organization! At our September 14th meeting in the school Library at 6:15 PM, we will hold our yearly elections and will have the following board positions that will be filled:

*President
*Vice President
*Secretary
*Treasurers

The Monticello Sports Booster Club is an organization of parents and community members who support the athletic programs of the Monticello School District. The purpose of the club is to raise funds to offer financial support that may not be available to our athletic programs and sports related projects in our High School that help our athletes excel with training and play.

To name just some of the many highlights of donations from the Sports Boosters over the years:

-$1200 per year for Senior Scholarships
- Uniforms and helmets for our football team
- New golf bags, wiffle balls and practice mats for our golf team
-$15,000 for a new scoreboard and championship sign at the updated softball field
- Materials for new Baseball dugouts
- Dr. Dish Basketball shooting machines for both teams
- Locking basketball racks and new basketballs for the Girls and Boys basketball teams
- High jump mat and starting blocks for our track team
- Contribution towards uniforms and new balls, helmets and equipment for girls Softball team
- New volleyball nets for our Volleyball team
- AU weight training program for summer skills building
- Hudl game recording, broadcasting and analysis program
- Sports Calendar posters
- State tournament travel support
- Yearly contributions to each of our sports programs

In order to keep this great organization going and continued funding support, we need new members to join! Most of our current members no longer have children in sports or in high school and need new members to eventually pass the torch onto.

The Monticello Sports Boosters are looking for enthusiastic family or community members to get involved and help lead our organization!
No experience required, Just a willingness to help the sports programs.

Usual meeting dates are the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:15 PM at the school, but does adjust occasionally based off of school sporting and life events.
Please Join us in making a lasting, positive impact!
