Abby Salmon's Music Studio

Abby Salmon's Music Studio I offer private piano lessons and band lessons (woodwind, brass, and percussion) in my home studio in Monticello, Minnesota.

I have a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education as well as a MN teaching license in instrumental music. About the studio: My teaching space is a separate area of my home. I take beginning through advanced piano students and also band students who are looking to supplement their school band program with some additional individualized lessons. My piano students perform in 2 recitals each

school year with additional MTMA contest opportunities. Please message me for information on current openings, tuition information, and studio policies. About me: I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Northern State University, and a MN teaching license in K-12 instrumental music education. I have many years of experience teaching privately and in the public schools. I am a current member of the Minnesota Music Educators Association and then Minnesota Band Directors' Association. My students have the opportunity to participate in MMTA and MBDA events and programs. I currently play professionally for area churches and events.

That’s a wrap on MMTA piano contest prelims 2022. (Poppy bunny helped me upload)
Wow guys this was the most challenging contest season I’ve taught through, ever!! I am so proud of you all. Very challenging pieces and you all WORKED SO HARD through interruptions, illnesses, and a last minute swap to virtual! Your progress has been amazing! Someday we will get back to in person contests in central MN. (Well we better because we are all OVER IT with these virtual submissions, aren’t we? 😉)
