We are so grateful for all Megan does at the Jones County Regional Center! 🦅✨
As part of our ongoing Kirkwood Staff Spotlight series, we’re highlighting Megan Stadtmueller, whose connection to the Jones County Regional Center began when she was a student herself.
Growing up in Monticello, Megan took college courses at the center while still in high school. Today, as Student and Academic Support Coordinator, that experience shapes the way she helps students across Jones County find opportunities and navigate challenges.
“I never want a student to miss out on an opportunity simply because they didn’t know it existed,” Megan said.
As a first-generation college student, Megan understands how easy it can be to feel out of the loop. She builds relationships with students before they enter the classroom, visiting partner high schools, attending events and becoming a familiar face they know they can turn to for help.
Sometimes that support goes well beyond answering questions. Megan has helped students overcome transportation and other unexpected barriers so they could complete certifications, stay on track and pursue their goals.
For Megan, Kirkwood’s presence in Jones County is about creating access to education, career opportunities and community connections close to home — and making sure students know those opportunities belong to them.
