**We’re hiring a Saturday riding instructor!**
We’re looking for an experienced instructor to help our growing lesson program at Swan River Stables in Monticello, MN.
Our riders have consistent weekly lessons in a structured program focused on safety, horsemanship, confidence, and steady progress. We offer 30-minute private lessons, 45-minute semi-private lessons, and 60-minute small group lessons. Instructors use our Rider Level system to guide instruction, keep brief progress records, and complete report cards at the end of each session. Our program also includes monthly horsemanship classes.
**We’re looking for someone who:**
* Has teaching experience and can instruct beginner through intermediate riders in both English and Western disciplines
* Is comfortable teaching on a variety of lesson horses
* Puts horse and rider safety first
* Plans purposeful lessons and adapts to each rider and horse
* Communicates well and wants to be part of a cohesive instructor team
**Saturday availability is required.** We’re opening Saturday lessons, so there are no students on that schedule yet. Lessons will be added gradually as riders register. Availability Mondays from 4–9 p.m. or during weekday daytime hours would be a plus for future program needs. There may also be opportunities to cover lessons for other instructors.
Instructor pay is per lesson and varies by lesson format and number of riders. We’ll share the full pay schedule with applicants before an interview.
Our Lesson Program Director handles registration, scheduling, rider placement, horse assignments, billing, and other program administration so instructors can focus on teaching.
