On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at the National Board meeting, then Southwestern Regional Vice President Brother Maurice Gipson’s motion to approve the application to relocate the Eta Upsilon Lambda chapter from Odessa, Texas to Monticello, Arkansas was approved. Thus, the vision became reality. The 14 re-charter members of the Eta Upsilon Lambda chapter came from all walks of life and various occupations (i.e., high school educators and administrators, college educators, corporate America, a CEO, a physician, and non-profit directors). However, they all share a common goal: the betterment of Alpha and the communities and citizens of Southeast Arkansas.

2026 Chapter Retreat: Our retreat served as a vital opportunity to reinforce the mission of developing leaders and promoting brotherhood, while centering our efforts on the core objectives of academic excellence and advocacy for our communities. Through collaborative workshops, we reaffirmed our commitment to “Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind,” ensuring every brother is prepared for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity and freedom. Moving into the next year, we remain dedicated to stimulating the ambition of our members and providing impactful service that aids downtrodden humanity in its efforts to achieve higher.
