We hope everyone enjoyed the horse show that the new equestrians put on for you. They began as campers this week, and turned into equestrians by the end of the week.

We want to thank all the families that entrusted us with your children. Fun was had by everyone this week.

We also want to send a HUGE shout out to all the volunteers that helped us this week at camp. Without you, this camp would not be possible. THANK YOU!!

There is a photo album named: June 19, 2026 Camp Courage horse show, that includes all the pictures that Barb took. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Day 4-- Thursday, June 18. There are not many or no horse pictures from today. We want to keep everyone in suspense what we are going to show you tomorrow at our horse show.

However, there are some pictures of us doing some of our craft projects and doing a scavenger hunt for horse/farm related items. So please enjoy these.

We can not wait to show our families what we have learned this week at Camp Courage.

Day 3- Wednesday, June 17. Today was a very different day for all, as we had to make that difficult decision to close camp a few hours early, due to weather. However, it was a GREAT day at camp.

There was 10 horses in the Rockarena at one time!! I do not believe this has ever happened before. The horses were great, but our campers were ROCKSTARS!! They did great with all the horses in the arena at one time. We rode for about 1.5 hours, maybe a little longer. We learned how to steer the horses, how to 2-point, how to weave the poles, learned the importance of keeping space between our horse and the horse in front of us, and we learned how to trot. We also pretended to be veterinarians and learned the different markings and colors of some of the horses.

Even with the crazy weather, we had a great day. Thank you for being flexible with today's schedule.

I also want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped us in being able to build the indoor arena. Without your support, we would not have had the chance to do our camp activities today. It is appreciated more than you will ever know.

Day 2- Tuesday 6/16. Today we learned the different pieces of tack that is used on the horses, different body parts, art project, and EVEN GOT TO RIDE OUR HORSES TODAY!! I don't think any of the campers wanted to get off the horses today.

Wow! What a busy week we have had so far at camp, we have forgotten to post pictures everyday. So I hope everyone enjoys all these pictures.

Day 1- Monday June 15, we learned the rules of the camp and barn, the different grooming tools, we were fitted for our helmets, and even learned how to lead our horses--human and real!! What a fun filled day we had.
