Real life moment today… 😅

Today we spent about $2,400 on a new mattress.

A few hours later Chris hung up the phone with the repair shop and told me my car needs about $1,400 in brakes and rotors.

So apparently today was the day for unexpected spending… and flashbacks to being a grounded teenager — stuck at home.

Except now I’m the adult, the car is in the shop, and I don’t even have dinner made because I couldn’t go to the store. 😂

The good news?

Tonight I’ll be lying on a very comfortable new mattress while thinking about that car repair and dreaming about all the other things I could’ve bought instead. 😆

But honestly, it made me think about something…

Most of us spent 12+ years in school learning algebra, geometry, and a lot of other subjects — but very few of us were ever taught things like:

• How to build an emergency fund
• How to budget for unexpected expenses
• How to protect our income
• How to financially prepare for real-life situations like this

And the truth is… things like this happen to every family.
