This morning, the entire VCA Village united in prayer across all four campuses at 8:30 AM! As we walked each campus and prayed over classrooms, hallways, and every space where lives will be impacted this school year, we were reminded once again of God’s faithfulness and presence throughout Valiant Cross Academy. A special thank-you to Dr. Kathaleen Graham-Young for leading and organizing this powerful Prayer Walk experience. We are excited and expectant as we prepare to gather tomorrow at 8:00 AM for our Annual Convocation at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. We cannot wait to see everyone there!

Welcome to Valiant,

To those who are coming for the first time, and to those who return to continue the work already begun, you have not come here merely to pass through classes, but to be shaped. The mind must be trained to think clearly, the character disciplined to stand firmly, and the soul anchored in the Lord. This year, we undertake a new and deeper work in the Valiant experience, calling you beyond the surface into a more serious pursuit of truth, discipline, and brotherhood, because more is required, and more is possible. One of our main goals is and will always be to help produce as many solid husbands and fathers as we can. Never waist your time listening to what they say. Old things have passed away, God is doing a new thing.

At Valiant, you are part of a brotherhood that expects much of you because much has been entrusted to you. Each day is an opportunity to grow in wisdom and to pursue a life ordered toward what is true, good, and enduring. Our charge is clear: to cultivate young men marked by honor, discipline, integrity, excellence, and love. These are not ideals to admire, but virtues to be lived. We are glad you are here. Now, let us go forward with purpose. No excuses or explanations, let’s take the bar up!

This well-deserved recognition highlights her dedication, creativity, and commitment to making a lasting impact in the classroom. We are proud to celebrate her achievement and look forward to the difference she will continue to make this school year. Thank you as well to everyone who shared and liked in support her incredible work.

Join Valiant Cross Academy for our Annual Opening Day Celebration on Tuesday, August 11 at 8:00 AM, held at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. The program will feature a special charge for our scholars delivered by Pastor Terrence Jones of Strong Tower at Washington Park. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.

We sincerely thank Pastor Jay Cooper and First United Methodist Church for hosting the Valiant Cross Academy faculty/staff and for the warm hospitality shown during our five-day staff training for the upcoming school year. Our staff from all four campuses were in attendance. The sessions, led by the amazing K. Allen Consulting team and our dynamic leadership team, were met with enthusiasm and strong support from everyone involved. We are excited and ready for our best school year yet.
