Legacy is proud to partner with Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) to launch our new Animal Care Assistant Internship Program. Each semester, an AUM student will join us for 14 weeks of hands-on experience in animal care and environmental education.
Meet Lexi Brock, our very first Animal Care Intern! Lexi is a biology major from AUM and a native of Tennessee, whose passion for wildlife began on the trails. Her dream is to work in a zoo, helping improve animal well-being through enrichment and care.
As Lexi’s internship comes to a close, we’re grateful for the amazing work she has done with our animal ambassadors—from feeding to handling. She’s been a fantastic part of our team!

🚀✨ The Greater East Alabama Regional Science & Engineering Fair (GEARSEF) is changing lives! Each year, more than 150 middle and high school students from across 23 counties bring their independent research to Auburn University at Montgomery. They design experiments, build prototypes, analyze data, and present their discoveries to judges from our community.

Last year, we awarded over $5,000 in prizes and sponsored three students to compete on the international stage at ISEF in Ohio. This is where curiosity turns into confidence and futures in STEM begin. 🌟
