PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES FOR BEING MISSING IN ACTION ON “The Book” BUT….

What a fast and furious month of September we had on Monticello Drive. From seeing 2 of our senior students cross the finish line (Congrats to both the beautiful & talented Latrista & Xaria), welcoming another 10 “newbies” to our midst, and opening our 2nd Senior Salon location (Country Club Estates); last month was a “non-stop” rollercoaster!!! Lucky for us, “Team TTC” always finds a way to make things happen. We would also like to thank PNC Bank and their staff for coming out, speaking to our students about their personal and business products; and even opening new accounts for a few on the spot.

We are currently updating our student services menu, tuition rates, booking and business websites; as well as preparing to rollout our new scholarship programs. With classes starting in January for the rest of our vocational programs; we are excited about what 2027 has to offer. By integrating AI, business management, branding, and marketing components to our curriculums; we aim to create a unique educational experience for our entire student body.

Transitions is not only a federally accredited post-secondary institution, it is our primary mission to prepare mature, accountable, business minded individuals for today’s workforce. Our program offerings go beyond the beauty industry as we strive to provide valuable technical and entry level business training to citizens of the River Region and beyond.

We are excited to invite volunteers for a Partial Pixie Quickweave! This is a fantastic opportunity for those with hair short enough for the sides and back to lay flat, as this hair will be left out. The top crown area will receive a beautiful quickweave. We are looking for four enthusiastic volunteers to join us on specific dates and times. If you're interested in transforming your look, please send us a message with your desired date and time. Remember, each time slot has only one spot, and we have four spaces to fill.

Words can’t describe the collective pain we feel at the sudden loss of our beloved Ms. Smith. For the past 7 years, you have been a constant fixture in our salon; encouraging the students, praising our staff and supporting our President. Your kindness, dedication and beautiful smile always made our days brighter. You always had words of wisdom to share and we knew to make sure you had your “under the dryer snack” before we left you to sit. Oh how we’ll miss your laughter and pats on the back. We send our sincerest condolences to your family and prayers for the difficult days they may see ahead. Learning to navigate life without the light you provided will surely be a huge challenge for everyone.

We will truly always love and miss you Ms. Julia…May you rest in eternal peace.

It’s taken us a few weeks to check in but that’s only because August has been our busiest month of 2026. Yes, as we welcomed a new group of students and watched 3 more cross the finish line; we were definitely “All Hands On Deck”, ensuring that all students “Transitioned” accordingly. From working on our graduate salon & suites location to securing our second Senior Salon branch, our President, faculty and staff have been on the move. With less than two weeks until we usher in September’s class, it would be remiss if we didn’t share some moments from this month!!!

Stay tuned as we share some “Last Day of School” videos from a couple of our recent graduates. We’ll also have a few BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS coming up this week. President Thompson is truly taking our institution to greater heights and we couldn’t be more excited!!!

As we welcomed 15 new students this month, we are also saying goodbye to a few!!! First up is our amazingly beautiful, talented and driven Maddie Postma. She is the CEO of Madly Lashed and soon to be Salon & Suite Manager. Finishing the program within a week of her 21st birthday, she is determined to become a licensed esthetician in no time.

We wish you all the best and we are excited to see what the future holds for you.

Oh what a time we had today participating in the “Back To School” community service event. Our students got some much needed experience working with kids, while learning the importance of giving back.
