Last night, we celebrated the induction of five outstanding individuals into our Hall of Fame. We honored Tara Herring Chambliss (1988), a Mechanical Engineer who co-founded an engineering firm specializing in infrastructure and development before transitioning to her current career as an attorney with Capel & Howard, P.C. We also recognized Martina Marshall Edwards (1997), who made history as the first African American female trading broker for Merrill Lynch on the New York Stock Exchange. Martina now serves as Chief of Strategic Partnerships at Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE), supporting underserved communities. Joining them was Holly Huett Leverette (1993), the Chief Executive for Lee County Operations, who provides strategic leadership and aligns county goals with community needs. We also inducted Jerry Ming-Hsun Yang (2005), Senior Vice-President and CFO of Aspirus Health, who oversees a healthcare system of 19 hospitals and 14,000 employees across Minnesota and Michigan. Finally, we recognized Elizabeth Strickland as our teacher inductee for her years of service as a guidance counselor from 1999 to 2012. These inductees represent a wide range of success and service, and we are proud to celebrate their contributions.
