At Montgomery Catholic's Middle School campus, students can earn Knight Bucks for being polite, helpful, and making good choices around campus. Then, they can cash in their Knight Bucks for a variety of fun prizes and opportunities—including the chance to challenge Mr. Castanza to a game of chess!

Until today, Mr. Castanza had been undefeated against numerous middle school challengers. But today, two out of three students prevailed, handing Mr. Castanza not one, but TWO losses!

Congratulations to Kate Bradley and Luke Jeon for defeating Mr. Castanza! Merritt Peden is already eagerly awaiting his chance at a rematch, and Mr Castanza shared that Merritt is a worthy opponent that will likely take victory in the next match!

Who will be the next Knight to take down Mr. Castanza?

Our Student Council had such a great time yesterday afternoon creating beautiful flower arrangements to donate to a local nursing home!

We are especially grateful to MCPS parent and Centerpiece Designs owner, Trisha Gadilhe, who generously donated her time and extra flowers to teach our students how to create the arrangements. What a beautiful way to turn something extra into an opportunity to serve others!

It was such a lovely afternoon watching our students enjoy this hands-on activity while knowing that their creations will bring a little joy to residents at a local nursing home.
