Today we honor St. Maximilian Kolbe, priest, martyr, and a powerful witness to the truth that love is stronger than hatred. St. Maximilian Kolbe is one of the patron saints of our Memento Mori House in our high school.

In the darkness of Auschwitz, St. Maximilian made the ultimate sacrifice—volunteering to take the place of another prisoner who had been condemned to die. His final act reflected the words of Christ: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

His life reminds us that holiness is found in courageous love, selflessness, and faithfulness—even when the cost is great. May we ask for his intercession today:
St. Maximilian Kolbe, pray for us. Help us choose love over hatred, courage over fear, and Christ above all things. ❤️🙏

Meet our New Faculty!

TJ Smith (Trooper Smith) will be joining us our Middle School faculty to teach 7th grade Geography & Civics this year. Learn all about Trooper Smith below!

Education:
TJ holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Western Kentucky University, where he also played football. He recently passed the PRAXIS test, a measurement of academic skills, subject knowledge, and teaching readiness for prospective teachers. In the fall, he will begin working on his certification in secondary education.

Experience:
This will be my first year teaching!

Join us tomorrow night for our school wide Back to School Pep Rally at 6:00pm on the High School Stadium Field. Come early and join us for dinner at the concession stand as we kick off the new school year! See performances by our High School Marching Band, Cheerleaders, and more! Varsity football will scrimmage immediately afterwards, so come and make a Knight night of your Friday evening.

Concessions open at 5:00 pm.

Today, Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School hosted the Archdiocese of Mobile’s Catholic School Orientation Day for the Montgomery Deanery.

Faculty and staff from across the area were inspired by remarks from Lauren Alley, Montgomery Catholic’s new senior theology teacher and Dean of Student Life, as well as Superintendent Chad Barwick.

Special thanks to the Archdiocese of Mobile for organizing this meaningful day to commission our principals, recognize faculty service award recipients, and celebrate Mass in prayer for our students and their families as we prepare to begin the new school year.

We are grateful for the opportunity to gather as a Catholic school community and look forward to the year ahead!
