Judge Freezes Trump Rule Limiting Grad Student Loan Access (2) A DC federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked a Trump administration rule that would limit access to federal student loans for borrowers in many healthcare-related and other graduate degree programs.

The Department of Education's Reimagining and Improving Student Education (RISE) rule establishes borrowing caps for graduate students pursuing degrees that aren't listed under professional degree status — including prospective Counselors. 🚨 The Counseling Compact has officially gone live in Georgia, marking another significant milestone in expanding access to mental health care! Georgia is the fifth state to grant privileges, joining Arizona, Minnesota, Ohio and Louisiana.

Across the country, 33 additional states and the District of Columbia are actively completing the steps needed to begin issuing and receiving privileges under the Counseling Compact.
