King is an educational consultant, ordained minister, gospel artist, and a rising entrepreneur. King is the founder and CEO of SKIE™, DoZ Musik™, and Help Me Help U™, a 501c3 nonprofit designed to provide resources and/or services to help those in need, especially at-risk individuals (children & single parents). King is a motivational speaker, success coach, mentor, as well as a trainer to institutions of learning (secondary and post-secondary). King began helping disadvantaged youth at the age of 21 through her local church by volunteering, donating time, resources, and funding biblical and musical enrichment activities. At the age of 24, she formed an organization namely, Kitzo’s Image of Children™ (KICs), which helped youth to develop life skills such as self-esteem and motivation to succeed, regardless of their life challenges. King received degrees from two HBCUs, namely Fort Valley State University (B. Later on King began her career in higher education administration at a four-year HBCU and worked immensely for more than 17 years, while gaining knowledge and enhancing her skills, and abilities (KSAs). During this time King served in several capacities to develop, implement, and provide assistance to help realign the institution’s programs, services, and activities for retaining and increasing successful matriculation towards degree attainment among its students. King has impacted lives through coaching, mentoring, training, and/or teaching more than 7,000 college students and 130 student peer leaders (tutors, orientation leaders, officers, etc.) while serving in higher education. Her efforts included, but were not limited to program development, the realignment and implementation for various efforts such as training and development, course and curriculum alignment for key competency skills, opening and facilitation of a homegrown and multi-purposed education enrichment center for students, and retention programming and services for academic advising, first-year initiatives (New Student Orientation, Student Success Course & Common Read), ESL learning, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, and much more. In addition, these endeavors afforded King with an opportunity to select and host special activities and panel discussions for selective administrators and participation of nationally renowned authors and advocate leaders such as Wes Moore, Bryan Stevenson, and Jeevan Brown. King is a native of Georgia and has developed deep roots in Alabama. King is a black African American female who has helped many students to overcome all types of barriers and limitations in life (spiritually, mentally, and educationally). Based upon King’s upbringing with limitations, she continues to inspire, impact, and remove barriers by achieving greatness and pursuing legacy endeavors. Many of King’s achievements came through a birthing of endless hard work and unwavering tenacity. King is dedicated to motivating others in understanding and embracing their gifts and talents. She believes holistically, “The sky is limitless to accomplishing one’s dreams and life pursuits."
