The College of Business will soon have a new degree, The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management!

Auburn University Board of Trustees approve key initiatives driving innovation, student success and statewide impact Auburn University’s Board of Trustees convened Feb. 13, 2026, at Auburn University at Montgomery, moving forward several core priorities designed to elevate the student experience, expand academic opportunities and advance the university’s land-grant mission.

Make time to work on your resume to stand out to potential employers. The Finance Club will host a resume-building workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., in Clement Cove (Clement Hall 201). If you already have a resume, bring it for feedback.

Half of Clement Hall (home of the College of Business and ITS) will be undergoing some much needed HVAC maintenance this summer and therefore will be closed to visitors. The half of the building you enter from the parking lot is being updated. Most offices have been relocated to other parts of the building or other places on campus. Please check with anyone you plan to visit to find out their office location before coming on campus.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you all. We hope to be back to normal operations before the Fall semester.

Last month, several AUM College of Business students had the opportunity to attend Quinnipiac’s Global Asset Management Education Forum in New York City, where some of the world's sharpest business minds gather to share insights on finance, business and portfolio management.

"We had the opportunity to meet and witness CEOs, CFOs and CTOs from some of the worlds largest wealth managing companies such as T. Rowe Price, J.P Morgan Asset Management, etc., talk about the economy, inflation and how us students need to be prepared for the future," said Ajay Sadhanala, a management information systems graduate student. "It felt like a dream come true being able to see such amazing individuals talk with such passion and humility."

Sadhanala said he particularly valued the opportunity to meet Tradier Inc. Senior VP Kevin "Lex" Luthringshausen. "When I asked Mr. Lex 'What are some things that one has to keep in mind while investing in options as a beginner trader,' I was taken a step back when he answered my question by going into details and spending almost 10 minutes explaining how he started and all he has done all along to get where he is now," he said. "It was a great learning experience for me. I not only got to learn the knowledge from him but also how important it is to stay humble no matter what role a person is in. At that moment I thought to myself that all of this is possible because I'm a student here at AUM."

Today the university recognized those that were promoted and those awarded tenure.

Two of our very own were promoted! Dr. Tarek ElBadawy was promoted to full Professor and Mrs. Wendy Anderson was promoted to Senior Lecturer!

In his speech, Dr. ElBadawy thanked his colleagues for their support and encouragement. He also expressed how important AUM had been to him and his family.

In her speech, Mrs. Anderson thanked the leadership of Dr. Dickens and Dr. Locke during her application process. She also well thanked her colleagues for their support and encouragement.

Congratulations to our professors!

The AUM College of Business mourns the loss of one of our friends, Mr Jimmy Hill. He was the former leader of the United Way. Mr. Jimmy was also the COB 2015-2016 Outstanding Business Leader, and a former member of the COB Advisory Board.

We send our condolences to his family and many friends.

Mark your calendars for the AUM Career Fair! Remember students, the College of Business has a clothing closet for your professional dress needs. Any professor can help you get access. Also, talk to your professors if you have questions about out your resume.

The Spring 2024 Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd from 10am-1pm on the AUM campus, with checkin outside of Taylor Center Room 221. Representatives will be on-hand from many of our employer partners, including State of Alabama Agencies, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing, WSFA and more, seeking students and alumni of all majors.

The AUM Career Development Center is available to assist alumni with job search assistance, resume review, interview preparation and more. Contact [email protected] or visit the Career Development Center office from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday for more information.

Vikas Sharma, Kelly Doan, Prinali Patel, Riddhi Sharma, and Dr. Ankita Damani participated in the Financial Management Association Finance Leaders' Conference in New York City. COB students networked with finance industry leaders and students from other universities.

Students, stop by Taylor 221 where we will have tutors on hand and plenty of tacos! After meeting with a tutor for help with preparing for midterms, you can redeem a ticket for a free lunch and a chance to win a prize. Students will find help with subjects in the colleges of math, science, business, liberal arts, and health sciences as well as assistance with any writing assignment.
