At Montessori School at Hampstead, we offer programs for students starting at 12 months old and extending through 6 years old. Montessori at Hampstead offers a structured yet individual, child-driven approach to education based on the Montessori method. Focus is on the whole child, imparting social and emotional skills in addition to academic skills. This approach is designed to build a child's self-esteem and foster a lifelong, self-driven desire to learn. 🥕🥦🍅 Closing out September with full hearts, little hands, and lots of veggies! 🥕🥦🍅

Our older toddlers wrapped up the month by making our very own vegetable soup for lunch! The children were so proud to see their hard work become something we could all enjoy. These are the little moments that become the sweetest memories. Learning, helping, creating, and sharing a meal with our friends, what a beautiful way to end September! 🍂

Our Kindergarteners are getting a little more strategic each week as we incorporate chess into their curriculum! Through our weekly chess lessons, our students are learning to think ahead, problem solve, practice patience, and make thoughtful decisions, all while having fun! 🧠♟️

🍓🍎Grandparents & Special Friends Day was SWEET as can be! 🍓🍎 Our classrooms were filled with so much love, laughter, and a bunch of special visitors! We loved welcoming our grandparents and special friends into our school to share a little piece of our Montessori world with them. Thank you for spending the day making memories, sharing smiles, and reminding our children just how loved they are. 💕 We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

We’ve been busy exploring all things apples! From tasting different varieties and talking about colors, textures, and flavors to making our very own homemade applesauce! The children loved being hands on throughout the entire process, practicing practical life skills while learning, working together, and of course, enjoying the delicious results! So many opportunities to learn, explore, and make sweet memories together. What a wonderful week! ❤️🍏

While our Toddler and Primary classrooms may look different, both are thoughtfully and purposefully prepared to meet the needs of the children who learn and grow within them. From carefully chosen materials to intentional organization, every detail has a purpose.

At the end of each day, our classrooms are always reset with tomorrow in mind. An inviting, warm, organized and beautifully cared for environment is one of the ways we say to our students each morning, “We are ready for you!” 💛
