Alumni Update – Dr. Bayley Beasley (’17)
Dr. Bayley Beasley graduated as a Distinguished Scholar from the Auburn campus of
Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2026. Prior to medical school, she
completed her undergraduate studies at Auburn University (’21), graduating magna cum
laude as a University Honors Scholar with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a Journalism
minor.
During medical school, she served as an Outreach Ambassador and received honors
including the Pediatric Service Award and Global Health Service Award. Additionally, she
was recognized as a Student of the Region while completing her clinical years in the
Wiregrass Region, primarily in Enterprise and Dothan, AL.
Dr. Beasley matched into her first-choice Family Medicine residency program at Baldwin
Health in Foley, AL. She currently resides in Fairhope, AL and is looking forward to the next
steps in her training while serving the communities of Baldwin County.

Full circle alumni moment on the first day of school! Webb Chastain '04, with his son Will '35, and 4th grade teacher Joan Adams, who has a long time connection with teaching in various roles at STJ. Webb graduated with Joan's son, Levi, in 2004. What a special connection for our STJ Alumni family.💛

Rev. Jay Spivey, Class of 2015, gave the invocation at our Faculty and Staff Inservice. His words were meangingful and inspiring as we step into our 2026 school year. We were so happy to welcome Jay back to campus and enjoyed gathering his former teachers, coaches, and STJ staff!

Ava Donaldson, Class of 2024, shared with our Alumni Assocation about her recent Summer abroad:

"This past month I have had the incredible opportunity to fully immerse myself in Italian culture. Living and studying abroad has given me so many gifts and unforgettable lessons. I was able to travel to nine different cities including Rome where I saw Pope Leo at Sunday Mass, Florence, Pompeii, and Le Cinque Terre! I am so grateful to the LeadAbroad program and the people that have supported my love of learning. I now have a new group of friends from all over the southeast and a new appreciation for the Italian culture."

GA Spotlight: Meet Graduate Assistant Carson Howard ⭐

Carson Howard, from Pike Road, Alabama, is majoring in Exercise Science. He chose the University after playing baseball here and developing a strong connection to UNA.

Through the Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences, Carson is gaining valuable experiences that are helping prepare him for his future career. These opportunities are giving him growth both personally and professionally.

His dream is to become a personal trainer and nutritionist. 💪🥗🏋️‍♂️ He is motivated by his family, who continue to support him along the way.

We appreciate Carson’s hard work as a graduate assistant and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make in helping others reach their health and fitness goals! ✨

The G. Stanley Frazer Faculty Award was presented to Mrs. Joyce Haven in recognition of her 28 years at Saint James. The award was presented by alumnus Kaleb Green ‘25, who was a 2nd grade student of Mrs. Haven’s years ago.
