It is vitally important for all schools to make the
students top priority when it comes to adhering
to the school’s mission and providing a quality
education. On the other hand, it’s even more
gratifying when someone outside of your school
district recognizes the impact your school is
making in the Montgomery community. On
August 28th, TEA Christian Academy received a
surprise visit from a representative from the
Blezit Foundation, expressing their appreciation
to the teaching staff under the leadership of
Dr. Maggie McElroy-Washington, principal. He
made several trips to his vehicle bringing
balloons, posters, lunch, and gifts for a
celebration of appreciation. Furthermore, after
taking a tour of the facility and meeting staff,
and students, he said “we made the right choice
in selecting you all”. TEA Christian Academy is
eternally grateful to the Blexit Foundation for
their consideration and generosity. TEA’s motto
is and will continue to be: Taking an Extra Step
Towards Educational Excellence; Because
(students) matter.
