The summer vacation has started! Congratulations to my kindergarten graduates! I wish you all a wonderful summer.
On Dinosaur Day, we excavated fossils in cookies and compared our size to that of a dinosaur footprint.
We made purple cows out of paper on farm day and had ice cream purple cows too.
Field Day was so much fun! Our class achieved greatness by earning the Top Banana award and I'm sure everyone will rest well tonight. Here's some pictures of our day! Thank you Coach Kacir, the specials crew and all the volunteers who helped make this day so special and memorable.
We wrote facts about Koala Bears in our journals, and Mrs. Liston gave us clip on Koala bears to keep. Did you know Koalas are not bears? They are marsupials and carry their babies in a pouch.
We learned that 10 is still 10 even if it looks like more when spread all over the floor.
Today we tasted a whole plant. Seeds, flowers, stems, leaves and roots. They were all good sports even if they didn’t like some things. They loved learning to open the sunflower seeds.
Happy April Fool’s Day! So I passed out the “brown E’s” while they had their heads down, and they were very upset with me when they saw that they were not brownies. When I actually showed them real brownies and said April Fools they made me promise not to post right away, so they could trick their families with the brown paper E’s. Hope you all had a fun April Fools Day!
Storybook Character Parade! We loved celebrating Read Across America by dressing up as our favorite characters.
If your child asked for chili this weekend after trying it at school, they probably appear with a thumbs up in the picture. We culminated our Texas studies with a cultural immersion featuring chili, Fritos, and a sampling of Dr. Pepper, invented in Texas.
Cowboy Dance Fun!!!!!
