Why does it seem like I always end up in the same place?
It seems like you get caught in the start-stop cycle, aren't sure about what to do next and your revenue gets capped where your imagination ends.
As business owners, founders and community shifters, we often ask these questions but we don't take a moment to figure out the answer.
For the first 5-6 years of my hosting the Momathon Conference, I wondered why doing something that touched so many lives felt so hard.
Shouldn't doing God's work feel lighter?
However, the answer to that question propelled me into a season of discovery that changed everything.
I learned that you can have purpose, but not track your time well.
I learned that you can be an expert, but if no one knows it, you'll continue to be the underdog.
I learned that partnerships, sponsorships and alliances make all the difference when it's time to expand.
And I mastered the art of boundaries... so that my best self was always saved for the people I love most.
As a leader, your job is to continuously ask powerful questions and make decisions that build the vision.
After all, sis, you are the catalyst to making amazing things happen.
You.
Your YES.
Your willingness to solve challenges and show up consistently.
Your innovation.
YOU are the one to hold yourself to a higher standard, to building collaborative partnerships, to seeing yourself on new stages, and to finishing what you start.
Myron Golden said something once that shook me to my core:
You are the only person who has heard every lie you've ever told.
I'll add to this quote:
You're the only person who has held every dream you've envisioned.
And you're the only one who can slow it down.
Be the leader. Show up for yourself, your family, your impact.
