The Human Performance Research Group talked to our newest Warhawks today at new student orientation about becoming involved in research within the field of Kinesiology.

Our celebration of our Spring 2022 graduates continues with Glenn Waters.

The Dungarvan, Ireland, native, completed his degree in exercise science after also playing for the AUM soccer team. Glenn earned 2021 Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll inclusion as a senior.

His future plans include becoming a college soccer head coach.

The athletics department of Huntingdon College will be hosting a USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 Coaches Course this summer. The course dates are Saturday & Sunday, June 18 & 19.

Below is a link to the event page from the USAW website, which covers most of the pertinent details. The course is excellent professional development for anyone currently working in, or looking to work in, the world of coaching and/or training athletes. Those that both attend, and pass the test, will receive the USAW Level 1 credential.

The course is open to the general public. Please pass the information along to anyone that you believe may be interested, or may benefit.

We wrapped up a great Fall ASAHPERD conference today! Today's AUM presenters included Dr. Brett Davis, Dr. George Schaefer, Dr. Cornell Foo, Evelina Avleeva, Dr. Angela Russell, Dr. Erin Reilly, Tate Dean, Jessica Milton, Joshua Moore, and Jevon McKinney.

It was another great day at the Fall ASAHPERD conference! AUM Kinesiology had presentations from Andria Turner Walker (faculty), Jason Bishop (faculty), and Luke Wheeldon (graduate student). Additionally, Dr. Erin Reilly received the College/University Professional of the Year award! We're looking forward to a busy day tomorrow with multiple presentations from AUM faculty and students!

The Fall ASAHPERD conference is underway in Birmingham! Three of our Physical Education majors are pictured participating in a session. We have multiple AUM presenters (undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty) lined up for the next couple of days!
