📚 STAFF SPOTLIGHT: PATTY BARFIELD! 💛

This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on our wonderful librarian, Patty Barfield!

Mrs. Barfield is beginning her 28th year in education and has been part of the Lincoln family since 2019—with an even longer connection to our building, having taught here when it was MIS in 2004!

From helping students discover the joy of a great book to creating experiences that make them excited to learn, Mrs. Barfield brings so much heart to Lincoln. She loves getting to know our students and watching them grow from Pre-K through 5th grade, always taking a genuine interest in their goals, interests, and dreams.

What our students and families may not always see is how much Mrs. Barfield does behind the scenes. She is constantly helping, planning, organizing, creating, and finding ways to make learning at Lincoln more engaging and FUN, not only for our students, but for our staff as well. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and willingness to jump in wherever she is needed make a difference across our entire campus.

And, of course, we couldn't spotlight our librarian without mentioning that she LOVES to read! Add in Diet Coke, Big Sombrero, bookstores, sports, traveling, family, and plenty of singing, and you've got Mrs. Barfield!

Mrs. Barfield, thank you for the countless big and little things you do to make Lincoln such a special place to learn and work. We appreciate you and are so glad you're part of our Lincoln family! 💜💛

A big THANK YOU to four incredible community partners who helped make our Student Learning Showcase & Title I Night extra special! 🍕💜💛

Crust Pizza, Domino’s Pizza, Marco’s Pizza, and Pizza Shack each generously donated pizzas for our families to enjoy during the evening. Thanks to their support, we were able to welcome our Lincoln Bears and their families with a meal as they celebrated learning, shared student goals, and connected with our school community.

We are incredibly grateful for local businesses that choose to invest in our students and support our school. Partnerships like these help make special events possible and remind our students that they are surrounded by a community that cares about them.

🍕 Thank you, Crust Pizza, Domino’s Pizza, Marco’s Pizza, and Pizza Shack, for being such great partners to LES!

💜💛 Strong schools are built through strong partnerships.

Thursday was an incredible night at Lincoln Elementary! 💜💛

Our Student Learning Showcase & Title I Night was all about celebrating what matters most—our students proudly sharing their learning, goals, and growth with the people who cheer them on every day!

Our Lincoln families showed up in a BIG way! 🎉 195 students—43.3% of our campus—were represented, with 399 people joining us for the evening! We exceeded our campus goal of 40% student representation for this family engagement event!

From student goal sharing and classroom visits to the Book Fair, PTO Silent Auction, pizza, popcorn, and time together as a school community, the building was full of connection and Bear pride!

🍕 A HUGE Bear-sized thank you to our generous pizza sponsors—Crust Pizza, Pizza Shack, Dominos, and Marco’s Pizza! Their support helped us provide dinner for our families and made an already special evening even better. We are so grateful for community partners who invest in our Lincoln Bears! 💜💛

Thank you to our families, staff, volunteers, PTO, and community partners for making this a night to remember. When school, home, and community come together, our students win!

💜💛 Celebrating Our September Citizens of the Month! 💛💜

This month, we recognized Lincoln Bears who demonstrated the character trait of FRIENDSHIP! 🤝

These students show us what it means to be a good friend—being kind, including others, lending a helping hand, and making those around them feel valued. Their everyday choices help make Lincoln a place where everyone can feel like they belong. 💜

We are so proud of our September Citizens of the Month and the positive example they set for others. Congratulations, Bears! 🐾✨
