New technology to study forces during contact.
Innovative Stanford Football Mouthpieces Measure Force Of Tackles Athletes and coaches are turning to technology to help them with growing concern over head injuries, and Stanford's football team is the first in the nation to use a special mouthpiece that measures the force of head movement.
From Jewel Rucker (WVU Tech Librarian). The library recently received a book donation titled Coach: 25 writers reflect on people who made a difference, published by Warner Books, 2005. Each chapter is devoted to a coach that impacted lives of several people. The call number to the book is GV711 C56 (located on the 2nd floor).
