🔥 Join us on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in honor of Fire Safety Week! We’ll kick things off with an informative fire safety training led by local firefighters, followed by cooking demonstrations featuring CGA representatives.

🤝 Come connect with fellow child nutrition professionals as we have membership, delegate, and provide conference updates to keep everyone in the know, we’ll also learn something new, share ideas, and help strengthen our Region 6 network.

Meet Julie Autrey, Alabama SNA’s State Advisor! 👋

We’re excited to spotlight Julie, an Education Administrator with the Alabama Department of Education. With 7 years at the state level and 17 years in Child Nutrition, Julie brings valuable experience and a passion for supporting school nutrition professionals across Alabama. 📚

When asked about her favorite school food, taco salad was the clear winner! 🌮 Beyond her love for school meals, Julie values her Alabama SNA membership for the opportunity to connect with school nutrition directors, managers, and staff across the state. Through networking, sharing best practices, and learning from others, she continues to grow as a resource and advocate for school nutrition programs serving Alabama’s students.

One of her favorite Alabama SNA memories comes from the Huntsville Conference, where a new location brought unique experiences, including riding a rocket simulator with new friends during a networking event! 🚀

As our School Nutrition Foundation Ambassador/Fundraising/Emporium Co-Chair and District Manager at Russell County School District, Juana brings her experience and passion for school nutrition to her work with ASNA. Behind every strong association are leaders who continue to show up, serve, and give back. 💜 Today, we’re spotlighting Casey Partain, our Awards & Scholarships Chair and Child Nutrition Program Director for Marshall County Child Nutrition Program! 🍎

Casey has served on the ASNA Board of Directors in many roles over the years—from District Vice President and District President to State Multi-Unit Chair and now Awards & Scholarships Chair. Her passion for helping fellow school nutrition professionals reach their education goals makes her current role especially meaningful. 🎓

Casey especially loves seeing the scholarship applications come in and helping support members as they take the next step in their education journey!
