The Alabama Rural Electric Washington Youth Tour is an annual, weeklong, all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC, that is open to select high school students whose homes are served by electric cooperatives.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ Today is National Electricity Day, marking Benjamin Franklin’s famous 1752 kite experiment during a lightning storm that helped us understand the nature of electricity. Today we celebrate the invisible thing that powers everything. Remember: never fly a kite near power lines!
