Our Brewbaker Intermediate Summer Learning Academy scholars had an amazing week of hands-on learning, collaboration, and fun! 🧠✨

A special shout-out to our students who were rewarded for perfect attendance and positive behavior this week. Thank you to Coach Martin and her church, Extreme Worship Ministry for donating gaming tshirts. In addition, thank you to Chill Out Ice Cream Treats for stopping by and our community partners ASU and STEP Foundation for mentoring our scholars this week. 🌟

Our Brewbaker Intermediate scholars had an amazing first week filled with learning, laughter, teamwork, and FUN! From engaging classroom activities and reading adventures to hands-on learning and building new friendships, our students showed up ready to LEVEL UP each day! 🕹️Week 2, here we come! 🎯

Brewbaker Intermediate School’s Summer Learning Academy starts MONDAY, and we are excited to welcome our Bulldogs back for a summer full of learning and fun! 💙💛

⏰ Monday–Thursday | 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

🍎 Breakfast Provided
🍴 Lunch Provided
🚌 Transportation Provided

Attendance is VERY important! We only have 15 days of summer learning, so we want our students present and ready to LEVEL UP each and every day! 🎯

❌ No school on June 18th in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Montgomery Public Schools families and community members: please read an important update from Superintendent Dr. Byrd regarding recent leadership changes and our district's long-term vision for student success.

Report cards for students at Brewbaker Intermediate School will be available for pick up on Wednesday, May 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Please note that report cards will not be mailed, so they must be picked up at the school during the designated time.

Additionally, 3rd grade ACAP Reading scores that were not picked up or received on Monday, May 18th will also be available during this time.

What an amazing morning at our Pastries with Parents event at Brewbaker Intermediate School! 💙💛

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents, families, and supporters who took time out of your busy schedules to join us. Your presence, encouragement, and partnership mean so much to our students and staff. Events like these remind us that when schools and families work together, our students thrive!

A special thank you to our incredible guest speakers for your inspiring words and encouragement. We also want to recognize our talented BIS Choir and Dance Team for their outstanding performances that helped make the event extra special.

🍎💙💛 Teacher Appreciation Week at Brewbaker Intermediate School was nothing short of AMAZING!

We appreciate our teachers more than words can express. This week, we celebrated our incredible BIS crew in special ways all week long!

🧁 Administrators treated teachers to muffins because “we’d be muffin without our teachers!”
🍋 Our wonderful 4th grade team sponsored a refreshing lemonade stand.
🍪 Teachers received delicious cookies from the Girl Scouts of America and Church of the Highlands sponsored two wonderful cookie cakes for our staff. Church of the Highlands
🍕 “Any way you slice it,” our teachers are amazing, so they enjoyed tasty pizza treats from admin!
🍝 We brought the week to a close with Olive Garden sponsored by True Divine Baptist Church because it’s Im-Pasta-ble to imagine a better team of teachers than our BIS family! True Divine Church

A huge THANK YOU to our outstanding teachers, parents, and our amazing community partners for helping make this week a success for our teachers.

Our ESL students showed OUT this year with major growth, so we had to celebrate the only way that made sense—ice cream and good vibes!

Dear My Incredible BIS Team,
As I reflect on our journey together, I felt it was important to pause and simply say thank you.

Each day, you walk into the building carrying more than lesson plans; you bring patience, compassion, humor, and a belief in children that truly changes lives. That kind of work cannot be measured by data alone; it’s seen in the confidence of a student, the smile after understanding something new, and the sense of belonging you create in your classrooms.

What I admire most is not just what you do, but how you do it. You show up for one another. You lift each other up. You find ways to keep going, even when the days are long and the challenges are real. That spirit is what makes BIS more than a school, it makes it a family.

I want you to know that you impact me as well. On days when the work feels heavy, your dedication, your laughter, and your commitment remind me why we do this. You make this journey meaningful, and I am grateful to walk it with you.

Thank you for pouring into our students, for supporting each other, and for standing strong together. We truly are BETTER TOGETHER, and I am proud of all that we continue to accomplish.
