Join Legacy and the Alabama Forestry Foundation as we explore the importance of urban forests and green spaces while discovering ways to support wildlife, reduce litter, and protect Alabama’s natural resources. Participants will learn about native songbird recovery, Alabama’s trees, invasive species, and the role of trees in our communities. The workshop also includes a Capitol Canopy Hike and hands-on activities such as outdoor classrooms, dichotomous keys, and a Web of Life activity designed to connect conservation concepts to engaging classroom experiences.
