Congratulations to Nurse Angela Blackwell on your retirement after 31 wonderful years with Montgomery Public Schools! Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and loving care for so many students and families. Wishing you a retirement filled with joy, rest, and all the blessings ahead. You are truly appreciated and will be missed!

MPACT JAG students at Nationals in Salt Lake City!!!

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our JAG class here at MPACT for their outstanding accomplishments at the national level!

Alexander Edwards made history for the MPACT JAG chapter by placing in the Top 5 in the nation, earning an impressive 2nd Place award in Financial Budget Development. This is a remarkable achievement, and we are incredibly proud of his hard work and dedication.

Our chapter also received national recognition for excellence. The MPACT chapter book was presented at the national level, and we proudly earned a place among the Top 15 Outstanding Chapters in the nation.

In addition, our Knowledge Bowl Team ranked 7th in the nation—officially making us a Top 10 Knowledge Bowl Team! This accomplishment reflects the scholars’ commitment to teamwork, preparation, and academic excellence.

We were also honored with a Merit Plaque for Community Service Hours. This award is dedicated to Natasha Foster, whose leadership and dedication played a major role in helping our scholars accumulate so many service hours and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Finally, Ms. Phillips, JAG instructor, successfully presented a workshop on infusing Fine Arts into JAG programs. The proposal was written for specialists and program managers, but the session also included students and educators. The presentation addressed both the student-facing and educator perspectives and was very well received.

We are proud of every scholar, educator, and supporter who contributed to these incredible achievements. Congratulations to the entire MPACT JAG family for representing excellence on the national stage!

It’s Teachers Appreciation Week! We’re truly grateful to State Representative Kenyatte Hassell for supporting the teachers at MPACT with a donation. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!

Congratulations to our IT Program and instructor, Ms. Tompkins, on being awarded a grant from the Alabama Power Company. This prestigious Alabama Power Foundation Champion Grant will support professional development and enhance instructional resources. The funding was secured to assist with teacher training necessary to implement a drone curriculum as part of the IT Pathway at MPACT.
