What a fantastic day of building community and celebrating the power of teamwork between Vaughn Road Elementary and Dannelly Elementary!

☀️ **We started the week strong** with a special breakfast to fuel our faculty and staff for success. Sharing a meal together provided an opportunity to connect, recharge, and begin the day with positive energy and appreciation.

🎮 **We ended the day with fun and fellowship** as faculty members participated in a "Game On, Level Up!" themed icebreaker. Laughter, collaboration, and friendly competition reminded us that strong relationships among staff create the foundation for a thriving school culture.

🦸 **We wrapped up last week showing team spirit, and this Thursday we're looking forward to seeing students level up-- superhero style!**

Together, we are leveling up each day, strengthening our school community, and inspiring one another to reach new heights.

What an incredible collaborative first day at Vaughn Road Elementary's Summer Learning Academy 2026! Vaughn Road and Dannelly Elementary School students all arrived ready to learn, explore, create, and LEVEL UP! The energy throughout the building was contagious as students engaged in meaningful learning experiences and had a fantastic time with their teachers and classmates.

Today, students enjoyed:

📚 Engaging Classroom Learning
Students participated in interactive literacy and math lessons designed to strengthen foundational skills, promote critical thinking, and encourage collaboration.

🧮🔬 Math-Embedded STEM Activities
Students explored STEM challenges that incorporated math concepts such as counting, measurement, problem-solving, patterns, and logical reasoning while working together to design, build, and create innovative solutions.

🎨🎵 Music & Art Enrichment
Students expressed their creativity through hands-on art projects and engaging music activities that encouraged self-expression, imagination, and teamwork.

🤝🌟 Building Friendships & Confidence
Students had opportunities to make new friends, collaborate with peers, and develop confidence while participating in fun and engaging summer learning experiences.

🚀 We're still POWERING UP this week! If your child is registered and was unable to attend today, we hope to see them tomorrow as we continue our exciting summer learning adventure.
