💙💛✈️ BES Had a Great Week! ✈️💛💙

From our Random Attendance Celebration, where students enjoyed popsicles for showing up and moving forward, to Mrs. Henderson, our School Counselor, teaching students the importance of knowing their go-to people, it was another great week at Blount!

Our teachers also came together during common planning to prepare for the weeks ahead, while every member of the BES family continued working to help our students grow and reach their full potential.

👏 Congratulations to our i-Ready First Class Soars of the Week! We are proud of the hard work and commitment being shown across our classrooms.

Blount Elementary is moving forward with purpose and soaring in the right direction! ✈️📚

✈️💙💛 Phonics Flight Learning Academy was a SUCCESS! 💛💙✈️

A special shout-out to our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Myrick, for leading this academy and continuing to move literacy instruction forward at BES. Thank you to Mrs. Hendrix and Mrs. Gray for your support and dedication to our students! 📚

We are so proud of all our 2nd and 3rd grade Aviators who participated. Strong phonics skills build stronger readers, and we are preparing our students for continued growth, confidence, and lifelong learning! ✈️📖

❤️➕➖ 2nd Grade Math in Action! ➖➕❤️

This week, our 2nd graders brought math to life through a creative, hands-on outdoor learning experience! Students created a human picture graph by grouping themselves according to the colors of their shirts. They then used the graph to solve addition and subtraction problems based on the number of students in each group.

It was a wonderful way to keep students engaged, active, and thinking critically while making math meaningful and fun. A special thank-you to Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Brookins, and Ms. Cooper for their creativity, collaboration, and dedication to providing such an engaging learning experience for their students. 🧠✨

Way to go, 2nd Grade, for making math exciting and memorable! 💙💛✈️
