In October, JHS FBLA acknowledged breast cancer awareness. Our own school nurse, Brooke Rotch, shared information about breast cancer. Students released balloons in support of the fighters, admiration for the survivors and in honor of the taken.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference was held at the Mobile Convention Center. This conference promotes leadership development, networking, and allows the students a chance to showcase various skills. We are grateful to our Jackson High School students who attended and competed. They are: Zoey Black, Jakyla Jones, Destiney Kidd, Jaliyah/Jazlyn Morrisette, Madison Sims, and Chelsea/Zoey Watters. Mrs. Shandell Dubose provided excellent and safe transportation while Mrs. Livia Coleman assisted with supervision. Congratulations to Jakyla who placed 1st in Public Speaking and Zoey Black - 4th place in Computer Problem Solving. Jakyla and Zoey B. have earned a chance to compete at the FBLA National Conference in Orlando FL.

Members of JHS FBLA attended the Alabama FBLA State Leadership Conference in Mobile this week. Our chapter was recognized for several awards, our members competed in events and we were able to experience Jacory’s farewell as District 3 VP. It was a long, busy week and we are proud of our students and how well they represented our school.
