The Class of 2026 has left a lasting mark on The Montgomery Academy through its accomplishments in academics, arts, athletics, and service. Composed of 51 students accepted to 38 colleges and universities, the class will attend 17 institutions of higher learning this fall and collectively earned more than $6.5 million in merit-based scholarships. Their honors include a National Merit Scholar, a National Merit Finalist, a QuestBridge Scholar, 25 AP Scholars, five AP Capstone Scholars, and 12 AP Seminar and Research Certificates.

Members of the Class of 2026 earned state and national recognition in STEM, Mock Trial, Youth in Government, and computer science, including first place in Alabama’s Congressional App Challenge and Montgomery Academy’s first Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship recipient.

In the arts, seniors earned recognition in visual art, theater, chorus, and Speech & Debate, helping Montgomery Academy maintain its distinction as the #1 Speech & Debate program in Alabama and among the top 1% nationally.

On the field and court, the Class of 2026 contributed to ten state championships and seven state runner-up finishes. The class also includes Montgomery Academy’s first statewide Bryant-Jordan Award winner and the male recipient of the 2026 Jimmy Hitchcock Award.

Beyond their accomplishments, these seniors demonstrated extraordinary leadership and service, investing thousands of hours supporting organizations throughout the River Region and beyond.

The Class of 2026 is ready for what’s next– proud of where they began and prepared for where they are going. Soar, Eagles, Soar!
