Happy Birthday to all of our August scholars. We hope your special day was filled with joy, laughter, and love. August has come and gone, but the memories we made will stay with us all year long.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Griffin, a beloved MCA parent. We ask our MCA family to join us in prayer for her daughter and loved ones as they walk through this season of grief. Ms. Griffin’s presence and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May Psalm 46:1 bring comfort: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Today was a beautiful day at MCA as we gathered for our chapel service and celebrated our Scholars of the Month for August. Our scholars and their beautiful families filled the room with joy, praise, and gratitude as we honored their hard work, character, and leadership. We also recognized our Teacher of the Month and our highlighted teacher, whose dedication and love for our scholars continue to shine brightly in our school community.

We are so proud of every scholar and teacher who makes MCA a place of excellence, faith, and family.

Congratulations to all of our honorees.

MCA is truly blessed!

✨ First & Second Grade Math Fun with Mrs. Hawkins! ✨

Our first and second grade scholars had a wonderful time today exploring math in exciting and hands‑on ways. Mrs. Hawkins introduced activities that helped students practice number sense, problem‑solving, and teamwork, all while having fun and building confidence.

We love seeing our scholars enjoy learning, stay engaged, and celebrate their progress. Great job, Mrs. Hawkins, and great job scholars!

🔥 MCA Welcomes Our Favorite Fireman,
Captain Waters! 🔥

Metro Christian Academy had an exciting day as Captain Waters, one of our community’s finest firemen, visited our scholars to teach them about fire safety. He spoke with every grade level, answered questions with patience and enthusiasm, and reminded our students how important it is to stay calm, stay aware, and stay prepared.

Our scholars loved meeting a real‑life hero, and we are grateful for Captain Waters’ dedication to keeping families safe. His visit was the perfect way to help MCA gear up for Fire Prevention Month in October. We look forward to more learning, hands‑on activities, and safety awareness as we partner with our local fire department.

Thank you, Captain Waters, for serving our community with courage and compassion. MCA appreciates you!

Chapel sets the tone for our week, and it was a joy to see our scholars engaged in praise and worship. This month’s Bible verse is 1 John 4:8 God is Love, and our morning reflected that beautifully. We opened with call backs, one of our favorite community builders, which help us gain scholars’ attention in a way that honors God and His children.

Our Preschool scholar Ra’Syah led the MCA Pledge, and 4th Grade scholar Taylor led the Pledge of Allegiance. Scholars Bailey, Taylor, and Jiana energized the room with the Church Clap Dance. A special highlight was Second Grade scholar Leonna, who stood boldly to profess and spell JESUS during chapel.

Thank you to Ms. Lane for delivering a message that tied perfectly into our verse, God is love. We also appreciate Ms. Rollins for managing media and sound, and Mrs. C. Pierce for closing us in prayer.

Most of all, thank you MCA parents for sharing your wonderful scholars with us. Your partnership matters, and great things are ahead this year.

We are so proud of their growth, their curiosity, and their love for learning. Thank you to our amazing families for trusting MCA with your children and partnering with us every step of the way.

To our graduates: keep shining, keep learning, and keep walking boldly in purpose. The best is yet to come.

Today we want to shine a light on two incredibly sweet boys who have become such a special part of the Metro Christian Academy family. Their mom recently shared a beautiful blog post about how MCA has wrapped her sons in support, encouragement, and genuine love and her words touched every one of us.

She’s seen growth. She’s seen confidence. She’s seen joy returning to her boys. And we are honored to walk alongside them in that journey.

A huge part of that transformation comes from the dedication and compassion of two extraordinary educators: Mrs. McGriff and Ms. LaBarre. Their patience, consistency, and belief in these young men have made a lasting impact. They’ve poured into them academically, emotionally, and spiritually and it shows.

To Carter and Jackson: we are so proud of who you are and who you’re becoming.

To their amazing mom Mrs. Peterson: thank you for trusting us.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing former Pre-K teacher, Mrs. McGriff, and our wonderful Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. LaBarre. Your dedication truly embodies the spirit of MCA!

This is what community looks like. This is love in action. This is why we do what we do.
